Dear Expectant Mother,
Thank you for taking the time to read our story. As we are sitting here writing this letter to you, we are finding it challenging to find the right words that will spark an interest in taking the next step with us. The reality is that writing this letter is not as difficult as the decisions you’ll face over the next several months. Our hearts, like yours, are filled with so many different emotions. If you choose us as adoptive parents for your precious child, we can go on this journey together and help each other along the way. Although we do not know you, we already know in our hearts that you are the strongest, most courageous, and bravest person to even consider making an adoption plan for your baby.
As we reflect on our marriage, we can see that we are very fortunate to have found each other and to have a wonderful group of family and friends that are loving and supportive. Again, we know that this is a difficult decision and want to assure you that if given the chance, we will be there to support you as well as love, teach, encourage, and nurture your baby.
We are looking forward to becoming adoptive parents and will truly be forever grateful if you choose us for your baby.
Our story all began with the click of a mouse. It was this small action that led to the start of our beautiful love story. We have a strong marriage, anchored in mutual love, trust, and respect for each other. We form a true partnership in everything we do. Laura not only fell in love with the perfect man, but she gained a son too.
Donnie is a Truck Driver, and for over 18 years Laura was employed as a Corporate Immigration Paralegal. After a few years of being a homemaker, she decided to return to work on a part-time basis and accepted a position as a Teaching Assistant in a preschool.
When we are not working, we enjoy spending time at home cooking, taking long walks, playing with our two fur babies, going to movies and concerts, and spending time with family and friends.
We are so excited to have just finished building our dream home in a beautiful family-oriented neighborhood with lots of children of all ages. We moved back in November, just in time to see our neighbors’ homes decorated for the holidays. They welcomed us with some homemade holiday treats. Our home has four bedrooms, three bathrooms, and a beautiful open layout. In addition, we have an over-sized yard with enough space for children to run and play. We share our home with our two fur babies, Max and Bella. They are Yorkies. For small dogs, they both have big personalities. They are very lovable.
Our Extended Family
Together, we are very fortunate to have a large extended family with over 14 children and multiple generations of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Family gatherings are always loud and fun with lots of laughs. We enjoy gathering at each other’s home for a day at the pool taking in the sun, a birthday celebration, game night, or even home improvement projects that require more than two sets of hands. We love to get together for the holidays too. We come together to cook and bake family feasts with recipes that were passed down from generation to generation. In addition, we also try to plan family vacations and reunions as often as possible to ensure that each generation gets to meet the next in order to keep up relationships as the family grows.
What Led Us To Adoption
Like many couples, we discussed growing our family. Our son is very excited about our decision, he has always wanted to be a big brother. At first, we tried the traditional route only to learn that Laura was unable to conceive. Although this news was sad, we knew this was not the end of the road. We had other exciting options to realize our dreams of growing our family. Adoption was always in our hearts, we are so excited to be on this journey.
If you choose us, you can have the peace of mind to know that your child will be raised in a loving and stable home with every opportunity to flourish into a smart, strong, independent, and healthy person.
