dear expectant mother

Hello,

Thank you for taking the time to learn more about us! We are so excited about your consideration and appreciate it so much. We have been planning for this moment for a long time.

We have shared countless hours of card games, dancing, family dinners, friend sleepovers, movie watching, cooking, and laughter. Some of our friends say they wish they could watch our daily lives as our days are filled with lifting each other up through humor. We have a lot of love and laughter to share, along with experiences. We live in a city with endless opportunities for learning and can offer a child a great education from our school district. There will be many trips to the local libraries with adventures as we walk! We will spend a lot of time outdoors learning about nature while also enjoying trips to the family cabin. We love animals and will teach caring and tenderness through all creatures, especially our one-year-old puppy.

There are so many things and experiences we want to share with your child. Most of all, we want to share our unconditional love, stability, support, fun, and laughter.

With love,
Jenna and Heather

There are so many things and experiences we want to share with your child. Most of all, we want to share our unconditional love, stability, support, fun, and laughter with you and your child.

About Us

Our connection was instant and easy from the very first time we met. Heather’s favorite things about Jenna are her wit, her constant curiosity, and how tender and empathetic she is to animals and others. Some of Jenna’s favorite things about Heather are her intelligence and knowledge about the world around her, fierce love of and dedication to family, and ability to make her laugh with silly songs and dances every day. We support each other and laugh each day, which makes life easier when we are sad or facing life's challenges. Both our careers support our passion for helping others, Heather in higher education administration at a university and Jenna in healthcare. Jenna’s job is flexible and allows her to work only four days a week.

We recently celebrated 15 years together and held a small private wedding ceremony with our family in August.

Our Home & Pets

We live in a two-story, three-bedroom home in a diverse urban neighborhood, with a fenced-in backyard and a park right across the road. The gentle slope in the front is perfect for sledding in the winter, and there is plenty of room for making a snowman! There is a huge old tree that provides many leaves to rake into the perfect pile to jump into. Our neighborhood has many family-oriented activities all year long, like block parties, parades, sports, ice skating, and movies in the park. We also live near multiple lakes with beaches and parks with hiking and biking trails. There are also museums and fun indoor activities! We recently rescued a puppy named Cagney “Pockets.” She loves to travel and keeps us laughing.

Our Extended Family

We live within a quick bike ride of all three of Heather’s brothers. This leads to weekend BBQs and coffee on our patio at a moment’s notice. We see Jenna’s brother and mom most often at the family cabin, where we spend long weekends having fish frys, swimming, sitting by the fire, and reading in the hammock. Our parents visit us often, and Heather’s mom and dad dream of and pray for the day they can spoil a grandchild. Our friends and family have been very supportive and hopeful as we wait to meet our child.

Jenna’s family shines when it comes to the fun and “spooky” of Halloween, and Heather’s mom is the matriarch of the extended family, always hosting Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter. We celebrate holidays with a lot of food, games, presents, laughter, and love.

What Led Us To Adoption

We have always had the same goal and dream to become parents. We waited until we were financially and emotionally ready to begin our journey and then chose to try biologically through a fertility clinic. There was a time when all of our hopes and dreams came true and we became pregnant! Unfortunately, it didn’t end the way we had hoped, but the miscarriage led us to LifeLong Adoption. We are positive this is the road we were meant to be on, and we couldn’t be more excited! Both of us have close friends who were adopted, and we have seen firsthand the beautiful, successful people they have become through the gift of adoption.
