We cannot imagine the thoughts and emotions involved in making the decision before you, but we understand it is a very difficult decision you are facing. If we are so blessed to be your child’s parents, we can assure you that your child’s health, safety, and comfort will be our priority as parents.
Of course, we will also make sure that there is plenty of love, laughs, and smiles throughout your child’s life. Although we will be extremely grateful if you select us as your child’s parents, we will also raise your child to appreciate that you had the courage to make such a selfless and difficult decision in his or her best interest.
We have lived in Southern California for all of our lives. We have been together for over 13 years after meeting in college marching band, and we have been married for three years, having had many fulfilling life experiences together as a couple. We both have been successful in establishing our careers in public service, continuing in our parents’ footsteps. Bryan enjoys baking, gardening, and keeping our home clean and tidy. Isaac enjoys graphic design, video editing, and cooking. Together, we enjoy all things Disney, music, traveling, working out, video games, and hosting friends and family. Our greatest memories are those spent with family and friends, and to say that our family and friends are anxious for us to be dads is an understatement! The child we parent will be surrounded by a large, loving family, with nine first cousins and 32 extended cousins (and still growing!).
We have lived in several cities, but we finally landed in a community that we fell in love with. We each have a 12-minute commute to work. Our home is located in a master-planned community with parks, a lake, a pool, a splashpad, a playground, walking and biking trails, and (best of all) kind and friendly neighbors! We selected our 3,000 square-foot home with our dogs and future family in mind. We have two English Labs who are sisters. They are ten years old, loving, gentle, and the envy of other dog owners. On any given weekend, your child will experience bright, open windows, a home-cooked breakfast, music playing throughout the house, and a plush couch to cuddle with Dads on and watch Disney movies.
Our Extended Family
Bryan’s parents have been married for 37 years and live 30 minutes away. He is the youngest of three children, with a sister who is five years older and a brother who is three years older. Isaac’s parents have been married for 41 years and live one hour away, but are moving to the same city to be closer to us and their anticipated grandchild. Isaac is the younger of two children, with a brother who is three years older. We are blessed to have a 100% loving and supportive family.
Both of our families gather every year for birthdays, holidays, and, most often, just to stay connected. Family gatherings range from a going to Disneyland with Bryan’s parents to Christmas with Isaac’s family, where 80+ people gather together! Bryan’s family has preserved information on family lineage and the family’s contributions to UK and US history. Isaac’s family honors a combination of US and Mexican traditions, most noteworthy being the cuisine and maintenance of a bilingual household.
What Led Us To Adoption
Family has been the core of our values, our life lessons, and our support through the good and bad times, but it has especially been there for all of life’s joys. Although we have been very close to our nine nieces and nephews, parenting a child would be the capstone of our family structure. We yearn for a child as much as a child yearns for parents, and we are prepared for the joys and challenges that come with being parents.
