About Us

Just a little over eight years ago, we met at a local fundraiser where neither of us expected to find our better half. David was instantly drawn by Jeremy’s witty sense of humor and charm, and Jeremy was attracted by David’s kindness and glowing sense of hope. Jeremy grew up in a small coastal town in France and moved to the U.S. after receiving his Ph.D. in computer science; he’s currently Director of Engineering at a medical research startup. David was born in New Jersey, spent his teenage years in North Carolina, and is currently a banker. Jeremy likes cooking, baking, reading, and big DIY projects. David loves gardening, crafting, and interior decorating. As a couple, we enjoy taking long walks with our dog, volunteering, hosting large dinners with our friends, and singing show tunes together at home.

Our Home & Pets

We live in an ethnically and economically diverse neighborhood. Since we’re in the heart of a major city, we have parks, playgrounds, restaurants, and coffee shops all around us. We live in a three-bedroom, 1.5-bathroom home with a cute backyard. When the string lights are on, our yard becomes a magical place where we love to hang out with our friends and family. Our home is filled with pet love from our amazing three-year-old little dog named Gimli and our wonderful seven-year-old cat named Quorra. They adore each other and are always excited to play with our nieces and nephews.

Our Extended Family

Jeremy’s family lives in France. Despite the distance, they are very close-knit, and everyone is included at every family event. This creates amazing moments for everyone, and those family reunions are talked about for years. Jeremy is particularly fond of Christmas and cannot wait to spend Christmas mornings cooking in the kitchen with his mom, with the baby playing nearby before the rest of the family arrives.

David’s family is split between North Carolina on his mother’s side and New Jersey on his dad’s side. He is particularly close to his little brother and remembers endless soccer games during the hot days of summer. His grandma taught him crafting and gardening, either of which you can find him doing on weekends. David holds dear memories of lighting the menorah for Hanukkah as a kid and is particularly thrilled to one day share this with the baby.

Our very close circle of friends is our other family. We see them very often, go on trips together, and share lots of fun moments. They all are very excited for us and are already talking about how they want to contribute to our child’s happiness in their own special way.

What Led Us To Adoption

Even during the very early stages of our relationship, we discussed our desire to build a family. Being parents is something both of us have desired since we were young, and it has always been part of our future plans. Adoption is something near and dear to our hearts, and we know of many examples of successful adoptions among our friends and family. We both have always felt adoption was the right path for us, and we would humbly and gratefully accept the responsibilities and the duties of raising, loving, and protecting your child.
