Dear Expectant Mother,
There are no words that can express how one person, whom I have never met, can make such an impact in my life. That person could be you. I can’t try to imagine what you must be feeling or going through, but I know you are a strong and thoughtful woman. Reading this profile shows that you care and want the best for the child you are carrying. I have so much love, guidance, and opportunities to offer and have thought about this for so long.
I am into history, science, and the arts. I believe that to know who we are, we have to know where we came from, and studying history is a way to do this. With science, I love to do experiments at home and can picture doing fun and educational activities with your child (you can never have too many clocks powered by the energy of a lemon!). I think I am also a creative person who likes to express themselves with stained glass, and when I was younger I was into drawing. I will encourage your baby to be creative as well and envision myself doing lots of laundry after a finger-painting session!
I have been told I am a strong and brave woman. I hope being single does not cause you to question my capabilities. I am open to finding my forever partner, but I just haven’t met that person, and I believe the perfect spouse will come when the time is right. As of now, it’s time for me to be a mother.
I would like for us all to be in each other’s lives for the child if that’s what you are comfortable with.
I’ve always tried to do the right thing. One of the main goals in life is to make a positive difference in the world for someone or something other than myself. My passion has always involved animals, so it was only natural to become a zookeeper by profession. I’m into a wide variety of things and will admit some of them are a bit geeky (with a little retro thrown in!). Your child will wear the coolest t-shirts and have the best Halloween costumes on the block! I like all kinds of music, and usually my radio is tuned to a station that plays house/dance music. I can picture the baby rocking out to some “Baby Shark! Do-do-do-do-do-do...!”
I’m on the edge of the city, where deer eat all the plants at my ranch home. The neighborhood is diverse and the kind of place where children ride bikes and families walk their dogs. Your baby will fall asleep in my arms in a rocking chair, listening to the owls hooting outside. There are state parks in my area, and look forward to identifying all of the creatures when we walk the trails. At the library nearby, we will check out books and read together. Finally, we will share the house with a dog, a cat, a small parrot, and a reef tank.
My Extended Family
My family consists of my mother, father, brother (who has one child), and sister (who has four children). My parents and one nephew live ten minutes away from me, and we’re lucky to have just had another member join us: my nephew just had a newborn! Your baby and this newborn will grow up close together since they will be close in age and location.
My brother and sister and their kids live in another state and come down to visit a few times a year. The whole family gets together and goes on vacation during the summers. During the holidays, we always have dinner at my parents’ house, and we’re joined by family friends as well. We sit around the table, talk, laugh, and even play “Cards Against Humanity.” If you’ve never seen people in their 70’s play that game, it is quite an experience trying to explain some of the cards!
We’re all excited to have your baby join our family. My mother is already reminding me how spoiled they will be, since she has her eyes on many clothes and toys. My parents live on a farm with horses, goats, and chickens, and we can’t wait to share the “farm life!”
What Led Me To Adoption
I am a huge supporter of adoption and have experienced it first-hand, as my big sister was adopted. It was never something posed as being different or abnormal: my sister always was and has been my sister. Growing up, I always wanted a child of my own, but sadly I have had six unsuccessful IUIs due to egg quality. Adoption was always a part of my plan, and it looks like it’s simply coming sooner than expected. I want to share my life and raise a child to the best of my abilities.
