Family Type: Lesbian
State we live in: Pennsylvania

dear expectant mother

First, we want to thank you for taking the time to read our profile. We simply cannot imagine the decision you’re about to make, but please know your courage and endless love for your child mean so much to us. You truly are an amazing woman, and having you in our lives is the greatest gift either of us will ever receive.

When we decided to have children, we knew it was because we wanted to grow our love in a different way. It’s so incredibly special to be able to raise a child together, to have the opportunity to both be mothers. We want to raise our child to be fierce in love, just like both of us are. We want them to be their own person, stand in their power, and make an impact on others lives someday.

We can envision Megan shooting hoops with our child as soon as they can possibly hold a basketball and running around in the driveway as we cheer on their first three-pointer! We can see Kate in the kitchen making a healthy treat with our child and loving the mess they both make! We look forward to slow Saturday mornings at the farmers market, summer trips to the beach, and so much more. We can see our lives fulfilled with a child, so happy with the love we all bring each other. If you choose us as your child’s adoptive family, know your baby is already the most important thing in our lives.

About Us

Both of us work in marketing. That’s how we met! After dating for four years, we decided to get married in a small beach ceremony. We’ve been married for four years now and still take frequent trips to the beach, which is one of our absolute favorite places. Megan loves basketball and enjoys coaching when she can. Kate loves to cook and isn't afraid to try a new recipe. We both enjoy reading, visiting our local farmer’s market on Saturday mornings, and hiking. We love living only a few minutes from downtown, where we can visit local coffee shops, try lots of different cuisine, and spend the weekends exploring. If we’re not enjoying what our little city has to offer, we’re out hiking local trails with our dogs.

Our Home & Pets

One of the biggest things that drew us to our house was the huge yard! Both the front and back yards are massive and such a great place for children to play. We bought our house four years ago, the same year we were married. The great, diverse school district was a must-have for us. We feel lucky to have found a home in such a great location. Our house is filled with natural light, and we have lots of beautiful house plants that bring joy into the space. We also share our home with our amazing dogs! They make our days bright, and we know they’ll love having a two-legged sibling!

Our Extended Family

Megan has two older siblings and a large extended family with lots of cousins, nieces, and nephews! Her aunt has a pool, so you’ll usually find us poolside during warm summer weekends. Kate has three older siblings, each with their own families as well. Our favorite time of year is seeing both families for holidays, especially when fitting 40 of Megan’s family members into her grandmother’s home for Christmas!

We take frequent trips to the beach and cabin in the warmer months with each of our extended families. We also make time to have dinner on a regular basis with both sets of our parents. We’re so lucky to have parents on both sides that support our relationship and have welcomed us into the family with open arms. Our parents can’t wait to be involved in our child’s life.

What Led Us To Adoption

When we decided we wanted to have children, we started our journey hoping Kate would carry our first child. Unfortunately, we discovered infertility issues and lost a pregnancy. When faced with IVF, we made the choice to devote our resources to adoption instead. We always knew adoption would be part of our story in some way. Kate’s mom and aunt are adopted, so this was always very close to her heart. As hard as our infertility journey has been, we both truly feel as though we were meant to end up on this path. We’re so lucky we’re able to pursue adoption. Choosing this path to grow our family just feels right.
