Dear Expectant Mother,
Thank you for giving us the opportunity to introduce ourselves. We are grateful you love your unborn baby so much you are willing to consider an adoption plan. Let us tell you a little about us.
Since meeting and becoming friends 10 years ago, family has always been an important part of who we are as individuals and then later as a couple. Becoming parents has been a dream of ours since before we were married. Katie grew up with a brother, and Sandy was an only child raised closely with her cousins. We want to raise a child with love, respect, and a knowledge of his or her beginnings, just like we were raised.
Just the fact you are reading through our profile means the absolute world to us. We understand this is a confusing and difficult time for you as you try to figure out the best option for you and your baby. We can assure you our home will always be filled with love and laughter. We believe a child can never have too many people who love and support them, and we are open to building a loving, healthy relationship with you.
Katie, a registered nurse, has worked at our local hospital for the past six years. Sandy has been in management at a local manufacturing facility for the past year, but prior to that, she was a police officer and firefighter for 14 years. We have known each other for approximately 10 years and have been best friends since meeting. We both dated other people before finally giving “us” a try, and we have honestly never looked back! We have been married for almost three years and cannot wait to welcome your baby into our loving home. We have so much love for each other it is only fair we are able to share our love with a baby.
We live in a small suburb of a bigger town in South Carolina. We love our small neighborhood made up of the diverse families living in it. The neighborhood is a cul-de-sac, so kids ride their bikes and play outside every day. Our favorite part of our home is the back yard, which is large enough for a child to run and play in. Our five-bedroom, three-bath house is big enough for our two Great Danes and Shih Tzu, Capone, Sammy, and Goose! Our dogs are all big babies and all adore the children of our friends that come to visit. The Great Danes, Capone and Sammy, tend to be the kids’ favorites!
Our Extended Family
Sandy’s mother came to live with us after the death of Sandy’s father and is so excited for the adventure we are embarking on. Sandy is an only child, so her mother is very excited about being a grandmother. Katie’s parents live only two hours away and cannot wait for us to have the opportunity to give your baby such a loving and safe home. Katie’s brother, sister-in-law, and niece and nephew are also only two hours away. They, too, are very excited to have a niece or nephew and cousin to love on and play with.
We both enjoy holidays, when we can be with our families. Christmas and Thanksgiving are two of our favorites. We both love to cook for our families and just enjoy the time spent together. This past Thanksgiving we spent at the beach and had the best time just hanging out together.
We enjoy decorating for Halloween and Christmas each year. We especially love decorating our Christmas tree with ornaments we had as children and then ones we have gotten together as a couple. And no Christmas is complete without watching National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation as a family.
What Led Us To Adoption
Some dear friends of ours adopted a baby through Lifelong five years ago. We have watched the last five years as he has grown and made them into a family and their house into a home. We both have always thought adoption would be the way we would build our family, especially after seeing how happy adoption made them. We cannot wait to share our love with a baby and have our own success story. We have many special traditions and cannot wait to share them with a baby!
