Keri & Annie

dear expectant mother

We’re here to keep it real with you. We know this is a journey and hope something in our video or profile stood out to you and helped you understand the type of people we are. We have an unbreakable bond, we cherish the outdoors, and we’re surrounded by two incredible families and a tight circle of friends we couldn’t live without. Traditions are important to us, and open-mindedness, acceptance, and unconditional love are the pillars of our family unit.

We are here for you with open arms. We are good, decent people who really want to be parents—not just parents for the good stuff but through all of life’s ups and downs and the in betweens. We’ll be here to encourage your child and to make sure he or she is as prepared as possible to enter into this world. We vow to keep your child connected to his or her full story in life and to be honest and true. You can entrust us with your gift.

This baby will be loved forever. When we envision accomplishing our life’s to-do list, we see a little one beside us, along for the ride. We’re going to visit some really cool places, travel the world, and see some pretty amazing things. After reading about faraway lands, we’ll go and see them for ourselves. Such adventure awaits.

We’ve been preparing for this for a long time, and we’re ready. This process has given us hope of growing our family, and we can’t wait.

About Us

Keri has worked in the digital marketing field for nearly a decade and is now a senior social media manager for a large brand. Annie has worked as a nanny for three separate families since 2008, and since moving to the West Coast, she’s transitioned to becoming a pre-K teacher at a forest school. We met in 2007, and the connection was instant. We’ve essentially grown up together—graduating from college and grad school with both obstacles and adventures—and we’ve had an absolute blast. We love doing new things every weekend, exploring the mountains, cooking together, painting, traveling, and having cuddlefests on the couch with our two pups. The last 13 years together have helped us build a strong foundation full of love, and we believe in the power of choice, acceptance, open mindedness, and equality.

Our Home & Pets

We live in a small condo complex with only six units total, and our building sits on top of a hill surrounded by beautiful pines. We fell in love with this place; it’s cozy and has the perfect amount of space with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. Our community is tight knit, and we’re close to a beautiful library, a community center, and a great school system. Our little downtown area always has something going on, whether it’s holiday events, pumpkin patches, or carnivals. It’s a wonderful place to grow as a family. We also have two beautiful pups, Shiloh and Daq. Shiloh is a rescued beagle, and Daq is a toy Malti-poo. They’re our best friends.

Our Extended Family

Our families are incredibly close, and we’ve all grown together over the last 14 years. We adventure together and love to carry on traditions. With a pretty big group, it’s something special every time we’re all together.

Every fall we visit our local orchards with our families to pick apples and munch on some fritters (so good!). We take the apples home and start baking! Later in the year, on Christmas Eve, both of our families gather in the small, adorable town Annie grew up in to walk the village and see the decorations. We stay at Annie’s parents’ house, where there are games, snacks, and a homemade lasagna dinner. Every Memorial Day weekend brings a carnival to Annie’s hometown. It’s a large, magical family and community event. Every January we take a trip with Keri’s family, and the destination is always warm!

Our families are SO EXCITED we’ve entered into the adoption process. Your child would be the first grandchild in our families and surrounded by love. When we entered into this, we knew it wasn’t just us. It’s all of us.

What Led Us To Adoption

As we grew together as a couple, we were always interested in adoption. Years of research and conversation went into our decision to move forward with the process, and it’s been an incredible start to the journey. We’ve had an opportunity to hear different stories and perspectives and have always come to one conclusion: Adoption is a beautiful gift, and we’d love nothing more than to welcome a baby into our lives. We’ve been preparing for this for a long time, and we’re ready. This process has given us hope of growing our family, and we can’t wait.
