Family Type: Gay
State we live in: California

dear expectant mother

Thank you for considering blessing our lives with a blessing we hope, with guidance and love, will one day make a positive impact on the world. We want you to know how appreciative we are of you and your consideration to share the gift of parenthood with us. We know this decision may not be an easy one; in fact, it may be the toughest decision you have had to make. However, we want you to know your decision positively impacts not only you and your baby but our lives and the lives of those who love and care for us as well.

Because of you, our dream of fatherhood could soon be a reality, and we could never thank you enough for that. We greatly look forward to this next chapter of our lives but know this chapter would not have existed if not for you.

Please be reassured, if you choose us, your baby will be well cared for, safe, and loved. We will always be grateful to you and your decision to share the gift of parenthood with us. Although it won’t be easy and we have many sleepless nights, early morning feedings, and dirty diapers ahead, strange as it may sound, we greatly look forward to that. We look forward to building a future filled with joyous memories.

Because of you, our dream of fatherhood could soon be a reality, and we could never thank you enough for that.

About Us

We are Kevin and Christopher, and we’ve lived in California for the past five years. Kevin is a registered nurse of 15 years, and Christopher, a former paramedic of 10 years recently became a registered nurse as well. We were both raised in New York and moved to Florida, where we met nine years ago. We loved living in New York as well as Florida but felt as though California offered the best of both, so we chose to call it home. We have a lot in common as we both love to travel and try to do so every chance we get. We love road trips, especially since California has so much to see and do. We enjoy hiking and being out in nature, and we recently started skiing. We purchased our first home together in 2018 and have since built a very comfortable life.

Our Home & Pets

We live in a small community in California in a family-like neighborhood where everyone looks out for each other. The area surrounding our home has lots of grassy areas for running and playing as well as hiking trails for exploring. Our community is known for its wide array of churches, libraries, community centers, schools, and playgrounds, all of which are easily walkable. We love our local family-owned restaurants, coffeeshops, and stores as well as our top-rated elementary, junior high, and high school. Our dogs, Chloe and Cali, rescues from Mexico, love our neighborhood walks and exploring local hiking trails. They also love that the dog beach is only a 20-minute car ride away.

Our Extended Family

We both come from loving and supportive families. Although our families are located mostly on the East Coast, we make it a priority to head back “home,” whether it’s New York or Florida, often. Weddings, birthdays, graduations, and the holiday season are all reasons why we visit family or have family visit us in California.

Our friends and family love coming to our home, especially during Christmastime because we go all out with our decorations. We usually have multiple themed Christmas trees and a nutcracker collection that continues to grow each year. We have a total of 40 Christmas ornaments we have collected from the various places we have visited. We look forward to continuing this tradition as well as starting new traditions and experiencing the joy of Christmas through the eyes of a child.

Our friends and family members are thrilled to learn we have chosen to adopt. Many have already offered to babysit, and those with children of their own have already scheduled play dates.

What Led Us To Adoption

After purchasing our first home together and establishing our careers in nursing, we quickly realized having children was the next step. As time went on and we established roots, our friends and family always asked us, “When are you guys having kids? You’d both make amazing dads!” The more we were asked this, the more it became apparent they were right. After extensive research, we knew adoption was the right choice for us to make our dream of growing our family come true.
