Dear Expectant Mother,
You are truly a blessing. We would like to thank you and express our gratitude and appreciation for your consideration of this selfless act of sharing your child with us. We both can only imagine how much of a challenging decision this is for you, and we only wish you solace and confidence in these moments. We know that for you to be at this step you must have immense bravery, trust, strength, love, and hope that your child will be in good hands.
We promise to provide for your child a secure home where there is no shortage of love, fun, help and joy. We promise to meet all challenges with understanding and patience, with open ears and hearts. As we look forward to building our family, we would like to learn from you about your own dreams and wishes, so we may pass them down.
We are both very excited about giving a child a home full of love, laughter, motivation, learning, patience, and adventure. We would be so honored and appreciative of you considering the both of us as potential parents, who with family and friends will guide your child to become a confident, intelligent, respectful, and resilient member of society who knows and understands unconditional love for self and others.
We are a loving married couple who have been together since 2007. We met in New York City and have remained committed in our love for each other, so much that we are truly partners and friends in life. Kevyn is an educator at a local high school, and David is a manager for a well-known company as well as owner/founder of an accounting business. In 2012, we purchased a home in Connecticut with the dream of growing our family. We are very supportive of each other: Kevyn designed the website for David’s business, and David helps with Kevyn’s beekeeping hobby. We both strongly believe in motivating and supporting each other’s aspirations and find it so important to do so for others, so we take part in the youth programs and food pantry at our church, where we give support to community members and parishioners.
We have a beautiful two-bedroom, one-and-a half-bath home that we share with our kitty. We have a lovely and spacious fenced-in backyard and a patio for a child to run around and have fun! We have a veggie garden, where we grow peppers, beans, peas, tomatoes, cilantro, and more, and we keep fruit trees and a beautiful maple that is waiting to be climbed! We are very close to a huge park and minutes away from the beach. We have very friendly neighbors, some of whom go to our church.
Our Extended Family
Our family is extremely important to us. We have a number of family traditions, like decorating our home for Christmas; cooking huge meals for Thanksgiving, birthdays, and anniversaries; and spending time together with our parents, siblings and nieces, aunts, uncles and cousins any chance we get. Every Christmas at our home, we add an ornament to the tree that depicts a major event we celebrated for the year, and this year we are hoping to add one that shows the adoption of your precious little one.
Our family has a great deal of talent and support. We have business owners, teachers, nurses, military officers, doctors, and lawyers in our family who are ready and willing to share their expertise and be role models for your child. They all keep asking when we get to bring a new baby home, and we can’t believe how lucky we are to have them so very excited about the hope of us growing our family.
What Led Us To Adoption
Kevyn comes from a large family, and David’s family is very tight-knit, but in both you can see the love and togetherness that helped nurture us into adults, and it is the same experience we would love to share with a child. When we got married, we knew that to grow our family we would need to adopt, and we couldn’t wait to begin. We looked at different organizations, read many books and also listened to family. Kevyn’s aunt also adopted a son years back, and she and her husband have been a positive influence in our journey. We want to be great fathers and role models to provide all the tools necessary for your child’s success in life.
