Dear Expectant Mother,
Thank you for choosing to read our profile and for taking the time to get to know us. We can only imagine how difficult making this decision must be for you. It takes an extremely strong and courageous person to consider adoption for their child, and we want you to know we are here to support you. If you decide to make an adoption plan, we want to assure you that we promise to respect you and whatever level of openness of contact that you want to have with your child.
We are a family of three, with a son who is beyond excited to be a big brother. We have a large extended family on both sides who are extremely supportive and excited for another addition to our family, as well. We promise to provide a safe, loving home, in which we will raise your baby with not only lots of love but with pride for their culture, who they are, and where they came from.
We met several years ago while we were police reserve volunteers, when we were paired together during our shifts. The rest is history! We instantly became best friends, and meeting this way made us rely on each other in high-stress situations and gain trust toward one another. Our bond is very strong and our love for each other is even stronger. We now have a beautiful eight-year-old son who is very excited to be a big brother, and we support each other, challenge each other, and encourage each other to be the best we can be. Andrew currently works in a law-related field, and Lindsey is currently employed as a surgical specialist. Outside of work, we like to laugh and be silly together, and we also love to foster our great relationship with our extended family. Since many members of our family are located in different states, we get to travel often. One thing we can say for sure is we put our family first, so we know our love and commitment will continue to grow.
We purchased our home in 2017, and it is located in the same town Lindsey was raised in. Our home is a single-level with full finished basement, and we have made many updates to make it a home we can stay in for many years and make beautiful memories in. We have three bedrooms and a large backyard, which has a brand-new patio where we can enjoy lounging outside on a nice day or grilling out with friends and family. We live within walking distance to several parks and playgrounds as well as top-rated schools, and we cannot wait to share our community with a new child.
Our Extended Family
We both came from large extended families, which means a lot of summers spent in Wisconsin at our family’s cabin. The cabin we visit is on a beautiful lake with a picturesque view and a campfire under the stars. During the day, we enjoy playing card games, fishing, and canoeing. Big families also mean big and loud holidays with any number of children running around and playing with each other. Being that we come from such large families, they are always excited to add a new addition to the family.
Lindsey’s parents live only one mile away, which is great because they are both newly retired and have lots of time to devote to children. We spend one night a week eating dinner at their house. We can’t wait to include your child in our tradition of going to the sledding hill on our first real snowfall each year, and our son can’t wait to show his future sibling all the places our town has to offer and where to go play.
What Led Us To Adoption
We both talked about adoption early on in our relationship, and we both knew it was something we wanted to pursue in our future. Lindsey was adopted at a young age and grew up in a very loving household, where she is very close with her parents. We have the great desire to expand our family through adoption and pass on the love Lindsey experienced as a result of a similar journey.
