Martin & Tyler

Dear Expectant Mother,

We have wanted to share our love with a child since we fell in love with each other. We want to do so many things with our child - travel the world, bake and cook, go to the beach, eat picnics at the park, visit the zoo - and we can’t do that without your incredible gift. We want to see your child grow up with every opportunity we can offer, to give unconditional love, and to give our child a life that promises unending joy.

Both of us are extremely fortunate to have parents that have been incredible role models, who have accepted us for who we are, who have taught us to love and to give and to be patient. We vow to be exemplary role models for our child. Our child will be surrounded by friends and family who will nurture and cherish and cultivate an incredible human being.

With your help, we can ensure our baby has everything we can give to ensure a lifetime of love, happiness, and prosperity. We want to walk beside you throughout your pregnancy and support you in whatever needs you may have. Thank you for considering us to be potential parents and helping us fulfill what will be the greatest love in our life.

About Us

contact

We are both medical professionals: Tyler works as a small-animal veterinarian, and Martin is a pediatric Registered Nurse. Both of us are relatively new to our careers but find great enjoyment in our work. Tyler works at a local clinic and works primarily in urgent care. Martin does homecare and travels to the homes of children to provide care. We have been together since July 2012 and were married in March 2016. We moved to Southern California in June 2016 and plan to stay because we have both fallen in love with this area. There are parks, beaches, museums, community events, libraries, and plenty of other fun things to do as a family. We also both love travelling and have made it a goal to see as much of the world as we can. Since meeting, we have travelled to Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Hawaii, and the Philippines.

Our Home

contact

We live in a beautiful apartment in a very friendly neighborhood in Southern California. Mila (our dog) and Leo (our cat) regularly snuggle with us when we’re at home. We have a great selection of board and card games and regularly have friends over to play them. We enjoy cooking and baking and regularly participate in local cooking classes. We focus on eating healthy and exercising regularly. There are plenty of great local businesses nearby, including a used book store, toy store, ice cream shop, and plenty of restaurants. A community library is being constructed within a five-minute walk from our home, a great place to teach our child the joys of reading.

Our Extended Family

contact

Although most of our family is located in Canada, we are still very close to them. Despite living so far away, we regularly use technology to connect with family and friends, and our siblings, parents, friends, and even our 83-year-old granny come to visit as often as they can. When we get together with our family, we enjoy sitting around the kitchen table playing cards, catching up, and laughing into the late hours of the night. We take pleasure in cooking and baking together in preparation for large family meals.

We also enjoy active family vacations: In 2015, we visited Costa Rica; and in 2019, we look forward to a family trip to New Zealand! We are so excited to continue this family tradition with our own children!

Since moving to Southern California, we have developed an incredible network of friends. We continue our Canadian traditions by inviting our American “family” to join us during Canadian holidays, and have equally enjoyed participating in and learning about all the American traditions with them. We look forward to celebrating both countries’ traditions with your child!

What Led Us To Adoption

contact

We have always wanted to explore the world with a child, and we cannot wait to share our love and experiences with our son or daughter. Adopting a baby has been one of the most exciting endeavors we’ve begun! All of our friends and family are so excited for us and support our decision to bring a baby into our lives. We can’t wait to celebrate a new child with the people who love and care about us! Ultimately, we would like to continue to expand our family after this adoption.
