Dear Expectant Mother,
We hope by reading this you find some hope and comfort in your journey. Although we haven’t met, we thank you for exploring this option and giving us the hope and comfort that we will one day fulfill our dream of creating the family we have always wanted. Just by considering us, you are giving us the chance to dream of our future as a family.
We can only imagine how difficult this decision must be for you, but we can make a few promises. We promise to be open with you about our lives and honest with you about our journey. We promise to provide so much love, even when it isn’t perfect. We promise to never forget to put out cookies for Santa Clause, to never miss a soccer game, and to always, always do our very best.
We have the utmost respect for you and your decision, and we look forward to getting to know you and being a source of support in your journey, however you may want it.
Almost six years ago, we met at a charity event in Dallas. We ended up talking all night long and set up a date for breakfast the next morning. From then on, it was a blur of lunch dates, walks in the park, long talks about our future, and late nights watching movies and eating ice cream. It’s hard to imagine how fast life has happened since then, but two dogs, two houses, and a wedding later, we both cannot be more thrilled to be at a point in our lives where we are ready to start our little family. Every day, we both feel so incredibly lucky to have found each other, and we can’t wait to share our love and happiness with our future child.
We love our house! We have spent a lot of time and care in making it a warm and inviting home and love to decorate for all of the holidays. We live in a quiet neighborhood in Texas, where many other young families live. We love doing yard work in our front lawn and saying hello to the neighborhood children and parents that race by on their bikes or are out walking their dogs. We have two big furballs, Jones and Indy, who are goldendoodles. Our weekends are typically filled with packing up the dogs in our car and exploring the greenbelt and swimming in the natural springs that are all over where we live. We love going out to the lake or taking them on long walks around our neighborhood.
Our Extended Family
One side of our family has many grandbabies that can’t wait to meet our little one, while the other side can’t wait to welcome their first grandbaby into the bunch! Both of our families live in very close, and every holiday is filled with tons of food and cheer. If we know one thing for sure, it’s that this baby will be spoiled rotten!
What Led Us To Adoption
Early on in our relationship, we both discussed our dreams of becoming parents, and we both agreed that adoption was the only choice for us. We both feel very strongly that we were born to be fathers, but there is a reason that we cannot easily have our own children. We celebrate everyone’s personal decision when choosing their paths as future parents, and we both believe we were put here on this earth to be adoptive parents.
