Dear Expectant Mother,
You will be known. We will share the story of how incredibly selfless you are for considering adoption, for putting your baby’s needs before your own wants.
We would like to give your baby all we can to keep our promise to you. We promise that your baby will always feel loved, they will have so many people in their life that will cherish them, they will always feel safe, and, most importantly, they will be given that unconditional love that all little ones deserve. We will do our best to provide them with a good education and keep them active and their minds open to all possibilities! We will make them laugh every day, we will let them lead us to new adventures, we will snuggle and read at bedtime, and we cannot wait to introduce your baby to our family moments: egg hunts, going to see light shows, walks to the playground and our annual family vacation at the shore. We will teach your child to care about others, to be genuine and empathetic, and we will help them learn from their mistakes and always be proud of them, no matter what!
Your baby is a gift and we will cherish them, and you, always.
We have been together for seventeen years, married for eleven. Michelle has been working as a pediatric cardiac sonographer at a children’s hospital for fourteen years, and Shaun is a plasterer who has been doing commercial fireproofing for the past eight years. Shaun is very handy, always fixing or redoing things around our home; he is also a stay-at-home dad to our foster child, and still has dinner ready for Michelle when she returns home from work! Michelle loves coming home to the two of them after a long day and having some fun. There are lots of laughs and giggles from the little one! Together, we enjoy gardening, decorating for the holidays, and the best is just sitting home watching a movie with some popcorn!
We have a semi-detached home on a quiet street where all the neighbors know each other. Sitting on the front porch on a nice day or hanging with our dog in the backyard and grilling dinner are among our favorite ways to relax. It is just a walk away to the community pool and playground, or even for a visit to the library or a stop at our favorite ice cream shop! We have a dog named Harley who is seven years old and a big lovebug who can’t wait to be on guard duty to protect your baby!
Our Extended Family
We both come from strong, supportive families in the Philadelphia area. They are always there for us whenever help or advice is needed, and they love spoiling the grandkids! Michelle has an older sister and younger brother, and Shaun is the youngest, having two older sisters! We see Michelle’s family every weekend, either to watch her niece and nephews play sports, go for a swim at her parents’ house, or just to stop by for a visit, which usually always ends up with a yummy dinner! Shaun is also very close with his mom; she lives a mile away and is always willing to help out or stop over for a playdate with our foster child!
We cannot wait to include your baby into our family traditions: Easter egg hunts, going to see Christmas light shows, and our annual family vacation at the shore. We will certainly be sure to say how grateful we are for your gift to us at Thanksgiving day dinner! Our family has already been so involved in our life with our foster child, and they cannot wait to do the same with a new little one!
What Led Us To Adoption
After nine years of infertility, trying IUIs and IVFs, we chose the route of fostering, in which we were blessed to welcome a little guy into our home. It has been such an awesome experience having him as part of our family; he has stolen our hearts! We can’t wait to grow our family and have another child to love! We are doing our best and giving our all to love, raise and encourage a child in the foster care system, for as long as it may be. Hopefully it is forever, and with adoption we can add another forever blessing into our home!
