About Us

Troy grew up in a small farming community in eastern Montana and is a registered nurse. Nathan grew up in Michigan and Arizona and is an attorney. We first met through mutual friends at a New Year’s Eve party, and we have been laughing and being silly together ever since. We enjoy spending time together and experiencing new adventures, whether that’s while traveling, cooking and eating delicious food, spending time with family and friends, showering our dog with love and affection, working out, hiking, or going to concerts and the theater together. We also enjoy home improvement projects. Our home has been a labor of love. Over the years, we have engaged in extensive home improvement projects, and we look forward to welcoming a new baby boy or girl into our home.

Our Home & Pets

We live in a family-friendly neighborhood in a coastal city in Southern California with fantastic weather for most of the year. Our home is within walking distance of several parks and just a short drive to the beach, zoo, and amusement parks. Our home has plenty of room for our family to grow. We enjoy hosting family and friends and typically have visitors throughout the year. We have a French bulldog named Emma, who is very friendly, adores attention, and loves playing games.

Our Extended Family

Troy has an older sister and younger brother who both still live in Montana, near where he grew up. His brother even lives in the farmhouse where they were raised. His father lives in Idaho, and his mother lives in Montana. Although we do not visit Montana or Idaho nearly enough, we enjoy the peacefulness and warmth of our visits when we do.

Nathan grew up in a blended family of six siblings. He has three younger sisters, an older stepbrother, and an older stepsister. Nathan’s parents live in Arizona, and his siblings are spread throughout Arizona and Colorado. We usually visit family a few times each year for holidays and family events. Visits to Arizona are filled with lots of good food, hikes, and lively conversation.

We also like to take family trips and have been on family cruises and other fun vacations to various locations throughout the U.S.

What Led Us To Adoption

Both of us have wanted kids for many years and have watched our friends go through the adoption process. They have an open adoption and are experiencing the gift of raising a family. We understand the ability to have and raise a child is a blessing, and we do not take it for granted. We are very hopeful to be chosen and given the chance to provide a special child with a wonderful life filled with love, support, and opportunity.
