Dear Expectant Mother,
Where do we begin and how do we even put the words into a letter to show how grateful we are for someone like you? You truly are an amazing person: strong, courageous, and filled with so much love that you would consider sharing this perfect gift with us. To put your child above yourself to ensure he or she will have the best life possible is an amazing and admirable thing! The flood of emotions that we have is probably only a fraction of what you are experiencing through this journey and the decision to choose the best possible family.
As you can see by our profile, we have nothing but love for each other and want to share that love with someone as special as your baby. We promise to love, protect, provide, cherish, support, and educate your baby as best as we are capable. With us, our families, and our friends, there is no, and never will be, a shortage of love, laughter, kindness, and caring for your child.
We just want to wish you the best of luck as you contemplate this very important decision for you and your baby. Thank you so much for taking a few minutes to look at our profile and for taking a glimpse at our lives.
We are a very fun-loving, caring couple who enjoys spending time together whenever we can and making each other laugh. We have been happily married for 13 lucky years. We both work in commercial real estate: Ron has been a building engineer for 19 year and Heather has been in property management for over 23 years. Ron enjoys reading, cooking/grilling, woodworking, computers and DIY projects around the house. Heather enjoys scrapbooking, gardening, baking, shopping for antiques, and finding DIY projects for Ron to do. Besides spending time with each other, we enjoy staying at our cottage in the mountains, travelling anywhere (especially to Disney), going to sporting events to cheer on our favorite teams, and going to concerts and the theatre.
We absolutely love and enjoy our home! It is Heather’s childhood home. The interior of our home has a country feel that people find very comfortable and relaxing. We have a wonderful landscaped yard for relaxing on the patio, catching fireflies on summer nights, or sled riding in the winter. There are two playgrounds within our neighborhood that are in walking distance of our home. We have had several new neighbors move in with small children so the sound of kids playing is quite abundant in our neighborhood. Our community is family oriented with a small town feel and has a well-rated school district with new or remodeled facilities. Our cats, Peeka and Munchkin, are very spoiled and can be found lounging around looking out the windows all day long!
Our Extended Family
We are so blessed to have so much love from both sides of our family.
Ron comes from a very large family; in addition to his parents, sister, brother-in-law, niece, and nephew, there are several aunts and uncles and over 30 cousins who love to get together for special occasions, vacations, and holidays. The family stories and laughter are non-stop when everyone gets together.
Heather comes from a smaller family, consisting of her sister, brother-in-law, and two nephews,. Both of her parents were only children, and although there are no aunts and uncles, there are numerous cousins of all ages. Heather’s immediate family lives close, so the impromptu summer pool parties at her sister’s house are very relaxing and enjoyable.
Throughout the year, but especially in the fall, we love spending time at our cottage in the mountains with all of our family and friends – everyone has an open invitation!
What Led Us To Adoption
Our road to adoption began after years of attempting to conceive, including preliminary IVF treatments. With those being unsuccessful, and Heather experiencing a miscarriage, we decided adoption was the perfect way to bring a child into our family. After speaking with family and friends, it was amazing for us to realize how predominant adoption was in the lives of those around us. We are so grateful and excited for the support of our family, and we can’t wait to experience the joys of bringing a child into our hearts.
