We recognize and respect the strength and courage it takes to make an adoption plan for your child. The gift of adoption is one of ultimate sacrifice and complete selflessness. You would be giving us the amazing gift of parenthood when we otherwise wouldn't be able to experience this.
We would be extremely honored and humbled to parent your child. We are excited to build our family, and even more so to be able to do it through the gift of adoption. Creating a family that shares our same values, morals, interests, and hobbies excites us beyond recognition.
We want you to know that we will unconditionally love, support, protect, and cherish your child. They will grow up in a home where they are assured daily of our love for them, and the profound love that you have been able to give to them as you made your adoption plan. You will forever hold a special place in our hearts with the utmost respect, and we will never forget that without you, our journey to parenthood would be incomplete.
Brittney is a pediatric nurse at a Children’s hospital. She is very passionate about her job and the kids that she takes care of. She is also an avid runner, working on pursuing her goal of running a marathon in every state. Scott is a cost estimator at a large and well-recognized engineering firm. Scott is an adventure seeker and an avid Nebraska Husker fan. Together they enjoy traveling and exploring new cultures, being outdoors as much as possible and attending Husker sporting events throughout the year.
We live in a quaint, old neighborhood just outside of the downtown metro. Our neighborhood is active as there are always people outside walking, playing in the parks, or visiting the local shops. The neighborhood has many active kids that are often outside playing. We have one chocolate lab named Herbie. He is almost eight years old and enjoys walking through the neighborhood with us, or just relaxing in the yard. He is such a kind dog and loves everyone he meets. We also have a cat that Brittney has had since before she and Scott got married, he is a ten-year-old calico cat.
Our Extended Family
Brittney comes from a large family and is the youngest of four kids. There are quite a few years between all the siblings, which makes it fun when we are all together because we are all at different stages of life and we each bring something different to the table to help complement each other.
Scott has one sister that he is very close with. Scott and Brittney grew up thousands of miles apart and met in college. However, their parents have both since moved to different locations and now live only about 30 minutes apart from each other. So for all of our holidays, we can spend time with both families, which is nice and special.
We enjoy being with family for all of the major holidays especially Thanksgiving, Fourth of July and Christmas. Holidays are always filled with lots of family, good eating, and usually, outdoor activities like hiking, being on the lake, or long walks.
What Led Us To Adoption
We are excited to grow our family through adoption. We have been trying to have a family on our own. However, some health concerns for Brittney has made us evaluate the potential risks that could be involved with a pregnancy for the baby and Brittney. When exploring our options, we felt the most comfortable and excited about domestic adoption.
