Dear Expectant Mother,
First of all, we want to thank you for reading our profile and finding out a little about us. While we are excited about beginning the journey of starting a family, we can’t imagine how difficult this decision is for you. We know that it takes a lot of courage to consider adoption.
If you choose us as adoptive parents to your child, just know that we would give him or her a loving and happy home to grow up in. We promise to give your child unconditional love. We promise to teach him or her good morals and to respect all people. We both have large families, and they would all play a big part in the life of your child.
We have been together for almost seven years, and from the beginning we knew that we wanted to one day adopt children. If you choose us as adoptive parents, we will be there for you and give you all the love and support we can during this difficult time. We are an open book, and we welcome any questions you may have.
We met in 2011, and we immediately bonded. We both love the outdoors. We love to go camping and hiking. We love to just take in all of nature. Troy is outgoing, charming, caring, creative, full of laughter, and he loves to cook. Kevin is kind, patient, and easy-going. He enjoys reading and woodworking. We both love to play board games and card games, and we also both love working in the yard and in our garden. Our family is very important to us, and we love spending time with them. We visit them often. We have always wanted to travel to Europe, especially Ireland, England, Germany, and Italy. Our faith has always been important to us, and we are part of a local Presbyterian congregation where we both sing in the choir.
Our home is in a small town on a half acre of land. Our town has all the things that you would want to raise a family. It’s safe and the local school is less than a mile away. There is also a park a mile away that has a great playground. We have two dogs, a labrador and chihuahua, and two cats. We even have four chickens! Our neighbors are all friendly and we watch out for each other.
Our Extended Family
We both come from large families. Most of them live within an hour’s drive of us, but some are as close as 15 minutes. Family is very important to us, and we are all close. We usually get together on all the major holidays. We also have a vacation once a year when we rent a large cabin in the mountains for a week.
Kevin has one sister, who is married with one child, and he has many aunts, uncles, and cousins. His parents live 20 miles from us. Troy has one sister, who is married with three children, and one brother, who is married with six children. He has many aunts, uncles, and cousins. His father lives about an hour away and his mother lives about two hours away.
What Led Us To Adoption
When we first met almost seven years ago, we both made it clear that our goal was to start a family and adopt children. We have many nieces and nephews and we love being with them. We started longing for children of our own to love and raise. Nothing brings joy like holding a child and watching him or her grow. We are excited about teaching a child about life. We have so much love to give and we want to give a child the same blessings and opportunities we had growing up.
