It's hard for us to write this without choking up a little. That difficulty, we recognize, absolutely pales in comparison to the decision you've had to come to. Saying thank you seems only the start of what we could say to express the immense gratitude we feel about getting the opportunity to even be considered to help raise the life you’re bringing into this world.

With us, this new life you’ve shepherded forth will know love, warmth, and a home where they can grow to be themselves, no matter who they end up choosing to be. As you've kept them safe until birth, so will we keep them safe from here on out. We both have always known that one day we would want to be parents ourselves, to share the experiences, love, passion, and self-worth we’ve come to have. We are so excited to write this next chapter in our life together with someone else. We know in our hearts that ours will be a family that is strong and grounded in respect and love for everyone in it.

We hope you feel confident that while this decision is incredibly difficult, choosing us would be the greatest gift you could give us. While thank you is appropriate, what we really mean to say is that we would be honored to build the kind of family we've always longed for.
