Family Type: Heterosexual Couple
State We live in: California

dear expectant mother

Thank you for reading our letter. We really appreciate you getting to know us. We understand placing a child into another person's care requires a considerable dose of courage, which we greatly admire.

The opportunity to raise a baby will make us immensely happy. We want to give him or her back every happiness in the form of unconditional love, absolute attention, understanding, and kindness. We will play and laugh with him or her. We will sing lullabies and read fairy tales at bedtime. We will never forget what you did for us, and we will pass on this great good to your baby by being here for him or her. We will support him or her in playfulness, curiosity, achieving dreams, developing talents, and studies and will reassure him or her of how exceptional he or she is.

Thank you once again for considering making our dream of becoming parents come true. We look forward to meeting you, and we would like to let you know we will support you during the whole process.

We understand placing a child into another person's care requires a considerable dose of courage, which we greatly admire.

About Us

We first met in a cozy cafe in the downtown of the city where we both lived and fell in love pretty quickly. It was clear we were meant for each other. We soon found out we both like to travel and discover new places. Katerina enjoyed traveling around our country in Europe, and Adam liked to visit foreign countries. During the first dates, Katerina showed Adam the beauty of nature around the city. In return, Adam took her on trips to Spain, France, Greece, or Sri Lanka. About five years later, we got married, and in 2018 we moved from Europe to California, a place we truly enjoy. Adam is a programmer, and Katerina is an artist and a graphic designer. She also used to teach drawing and painting. We perfectly complement each other. Where analytical and logical abilities predominate in Adam, Katerina contributes with her creativity, sensitivity, and imagination.

Our Home & Pets

We have been living near the coast of California for three years. We fell in love with this place. From our apartment, it is a minute walk to the beach. The city and the surrounding area have many fantastic places for walks and attractions for children. Sunny and warm weather, even during the winter, allows us to spend a lot of time on outdoor activities, such as picnics in one of the many parks with playgrounds. Our city offers many schools and afterschool activities for children and two large universities. Our cat, Daisy, is looking forward to a friend with whom she can play her favorite hide and seek games.

Our Extended Family

Although our families live in Europe, we still have close contact with them, and we call at least once a week. We can always turn to them with any question and talk openly. We’ve also made several great friends here in California.

Adam has a great relationship with his parents, and his family includes his grandmother and several uncles and aunts. He has a younger brother with whom he is very close. Katerina has a younger sister and a three-year-old niece who has a new song or poem ready for each phone call. Her parents are divorced, and she also has a half-brother she met when he was six and she was sixteen. From the first day she met him, they formed a bond and spent every weekend at the cinema, zoo, or various festivals together. In addition to siblings and both parents, she has two grandmothers, one grandfather, and an uncle and aunt with their families.

Our parents were excited when we told them we were planning to adopt. They know what we went through while trying to have a child, and they will love the child unconditionally, the same as we will.

What Led Us To Adoption

About three years after we met, we desired to have a baby. We got pregnant two times. Unfortunately, both pregnancies were ectopic and led to surgeries that made another natural pregnancy impossible. We did not give up, and several times we underwent in vitro fertilization in our country and here in the U.S. Unfortunately, not even this effort led to success. It will be six years since we first tried to have a baby, but we are still not giving up. We believe adoption is the right step and opportunity to have our own family.
