Addison & Adam

Family Type: Gay Couple
State we live in: South Carolina

dear expectant mother

To start, we wish to state our gratitude! We cannot begin to imagine the position you are in while reading our letter. As an adopted child himself, Addison knows what a difficult decision it is to offer your child to another family in waiting. We hope, in time, our journey together will ultimately help you find peace.

If you choose us, the goal for our household is to build onto the love and joy in your child’s life as your unconditional love will be the foundation. We continue to grow in our relationship by setting a standard meant for a future family. With all decisions made together as a team, and now with your help, we look forward to the opportunities it will bring.

We know to consider us is to consider an unknown life for your child. We can promise you we will do anything and everything in our power to provide a wholesome, nurturing environment filled with laughter, love, patience, and kindness for now and for the remainder of time. This is the biggest dream we have in life, and thanks to you, that can become a reality.

With all of our love,
Adam and Addison

This is the biggest dream we have in life, and thanks to you, that can become a reality.

About Us

In a decade where meeting a potential significant other offline is not common, we met with a double-take encounter in public. It did not take a year to know that we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together, and we vowed to be perfectly imperfect. Adam is an adolescent dance instructor at a local studio and the company director for its competition team. Addison is a multifamily property manager in our distinguished downtown. We enjoy walks with our dogs, nights in our fenced-in backyard by our fire table, and taking turns impressing the other with our cooking abilities. Due to the love, support, and friendship we have for one another, we constantly find ourselves with a feeling of a breath of fresh air. If relationships were to have a tagline, “Come What May,” would resonate with ours as we are a team through all that life brings.

Our Home & Pets

Together is a great place to be, and this is the inspiration behind our home. We made the decision to construct our ideal family home in preparation for a new addition. Our neighborhood was developed with families in mind: walking trails, a pool with an outdoor pavilion, and a playground, not to mention a social community with events for all ages! Our city is within the top five notable Southern counties in the nation containing an abundance of parks and recreation. We have devoted the design of our home to comfort, entertainment, and relaxation. Our three four-legged family members—Shadow, Nalah, and Boozer—love to cuddle up constantly and cannot wait to include a new addition!

Our Extended Family

Adam is a Northerner from Massachusetts, where his family originates. His immediate family includes his father, mother (now passed), and sister along with our in-laws from his sister’s family. We have two wonderful and youthful nieces through Adam’s sister as well, and we love being uncles. We value holiday time spent with his immediate family, which is limited due to being out of state. It truly means distance makes the heart grow fonder!

Addison is a Southerner from South Carolina, where his family resides. He is adopted, and yet not a day goes by in which his parents and sister are not his born family. His extended family lives in Pennsylvania, and we visit their cabin in the mountains for vacation!

Our blended families make our home full of energy, love, and memories! Addison's mother is now retired, meaning we have a devoted first-time grandma-to-be! Holidays are a must in our households, and we cannot leave any gathering on either side of our families without leftovers, gifts, and reminders of what truly matters: one another.

What Led Us To Adoption

Our individual intent to become parents is a foundation for our relationship and marriage. In our youth, the value that family is first was instilled in both of us. Addison was brought up in an adoptive family. His firsthand experience will allow an emotional connection with our child that we find so pure. We know our dedication to each other and our longing to have a personal family will show in our daily efforts to parent.
