About Us

Hi! We’re Casey and Alfredo. We met in our hometown 16 years ago while in college and have been inseparable ever since. We have been married for seven years. We currently live in Texas, where we moved to be closer to family. Alfredo joined the Army out of high school, where he served for eight years. After the military, he went back to school and pursued a degree in nursing. He is the Director of Nursing in the emergency department. Casey has been in banking for the last 16 years and has held many positions. He currently works for a major financial institution in their private bank division. We both love anything to do with college football, and you can usually find us and our family at a college football game during the season. We are both very outgoing and are very excited to hopefully start a family.

Our Home & Pets

Our community is very diverse and vibrant. It is the home to a university and offers many walking trails, food trucks, live music, and outdoor recreational activities. Our neighborhood has many young families, and there are plenty of things for kids to do in our area. We have a great school system, and there are many public and private school options to choose from. We live in a three-bedroom, 2 ½-bathroom townhome. We have a 12-year-old chihuahua named Zoey. We rescued her from the dog pound. She is the sweetest dog who just wants to sit on your lap, and we couldn't have asked for a better dog.

Our Extended Family

Alfredo comes from a big family that includes two brothers, one sister, and two step-siblings. He has two nephews, two nieces, and many cousins, aunts, and uncles. When we go home, there is always a large gathering full of good times and lots of laughter. His parents live in New Mexico, and he is very close to his family.

Casey has one older brother and a sister-in-law who have two beautiful girls. Everyone lives in the same town. This includes his mom and dad, grandparents, cousins, and aunt and uncle. They live an hour and a half from us. It has been such a blessing to have them close by because we get to see them often. Visits usually include spending holidays together, hanging out by the pool, and enjoying quality time.

What Led Us To Adoption

We both knew we wanted to be fathers someday. After looking at our options, we knew adoption was the right path for us. We are now in a place where we want to raise a child with the same love and guidance we have been so blessed to have in our own lives. Being a same-sex couple, we understand the struggles and challenges that can arise from being different. Our own journey as a couple has taught us the importance of empathy, acceptance, and unconditional love, which we cannot wait to share with our child. We see our lives as being fulfilled by raising a child who shares our values of faith and love.
