Alyssa & Callie

Family Type: Lesbian Couple
State we live in: Arkansas

dear expectant mother

We first want to thank you for considering an adoption plan and for taking the time to learn about our family. We would feel richly blessed if you chose us. What a blessing you would be to us as our angel. Please know we will always respect you and your wishes for your child. We want you to feel confident knowing your child will be loved and celebrated for who they are.

If chosen, we are committed to providing your child a life that is full of every opportunity needed to use their talents and gifts to pursue their dreams. We will love your child unconditionally and raise them to be a unique and compassionate individual. Your child will experience the world through our travels. We believe strongly in education and will provide the best opportunities for your child with nightly bedtime stories and science experiments. We can’t wait to share in the joys of camping out in the backyard, growing our own food in the garden, teaching them how to drive, and walking beside them through the good and bad times of life.

Even though we don’t know you yet, we look forward to meeting and supporting you as we go through this process together. We admire you and this selfless gift you are so courageously considering.

About Us

We met online, and as the saying goes, the rest is history. Callie was in school to become a physician assistant, and Alyssa was already working in hospital administration. Our first date was a food truck festival, and since that day, we have not spent many days apart in almost six years. We instantly realized we shared the same passions and goals for the lives we wanted. We married in October of 2019. We love to travel and see new places, and we are currently on a quest to see all 62 national parks. We love to spend time outdoors and with family. We are both athletic and enjoy playing sports; Callie played softball in college. Alyssa loves to read, garden, and discuss finances. Callie loves DIY projects, being outdoors, and gardening.

Our Home & Pets

We own a home that was built in the ’70s and has four bedrooms and two and a half baths. We have spent many years remodeling it ourselves. Our home is located in a quiet neighborhood. One of our favorite places is our backyard, where we have a garden and firepit that is perfect for roasting marshmallows. We are located close to downtown and enjoy watching local plays and dining at restaurants. We live in an excellent school district. Our town offers many options for extracurricular activities. We have a rescue dog, Willy, who has brought much joy and entertainment to our lives. He loves our friends’ children and is just as excited about your child as we are, even if he doesn’t know it yet.

Our Extended Family

We have both been blessed with loving families. Callie’s family lives in Georgia, all within five miles of one another, which makes seeing everyone easier when we travel there. Callie’s parents have been married for 30 years. Callie has one brother and one sister, three nephews, and a niece. We travel to Georgia several times a year and enjoy the relaxation Callie’s parents’ home has to offer. We spend most days on their pond fishing and kayaking, and evenings are spent in one another’s company on the porch.

Alyssa has a younger brother, and we recently welcomed our first niece on Alyssa’s side of the family. Alyssa’s mom, stepdad, and brother’s family all live within ten minutes of us. We get together often for dinner and to play basketball or ping pong.

Our families are excited about the future addition to our family. We cannot wait to spend holidays and continue traditions together. We alternate holidays with each family. In addition to our biological families, we have close friends we consider family whom we celebrate holidays with as well, with our biggest event being the annual Christmas cookie decorating contest.

What Led Us To Adoption

We have multiple friends who have grown their families through adoption. It has been so rewarding to watch their families grow in love for one another. We both knew we wanted children and felt in our hearts adoption was the best choice for our family. We are ready and excited for the opportunity to provide a loving, stable home for a child, with many adventures along the way. We have so much love to give and would be honored to be given the opportunity to do so through adoption.
