dear expectant mother

Dear Birth Mother,

Thank you for considering us to be parents to this child. We strongly believe that God has a plan for everyone. It's no secret that the adoption process is overwhelming and a rollercoaster of emotions. While we will never fully understand your emotions during this time, we want you to know that we are proud of you and amazed at the strength and courage you have. We are praying for you now and always.

Becoming parents is something that we have talked and prayed about since we met. We have children in our lives now that we love and spend as much time with as possible, but we are so excited to be able to do those things with our child in our own home. We are already planning and preparing for this child in so many ways.

We will support and love this child more than we can express. We want to instill good core values, such as God first, respect, compassion, patience, courage, and good work ethic. We will support and dedicate our time to making our child's dreams come true. You will always be this child's birth mother, and we plan to make that known if that is your wish. This child would not be here if it wasn't for you, and we wouldn't have the opportunity to be parents without you, so again, thank you!

Love and prayers,
Nick and Amanda

About Us

Hi! We are Nick and Amanda. We try to spend as much time together as possible. We love watching movies, fishing, cooking, being in the garage, and spending time with family and friends and our dog, Tilly. We have opposite personalities but balance each other well. We are both very hard workers. After working as a mechanic for 10 years, Nick had the opportunity to work at a restoration garage, which is what he currently does. He loves to be in the garage and work on all types of vehicles. Amanda was a hair stylist for 11 years but stepped away to pursue our adoption journey. She has owned a tanning salon for 5 years and currently nannies for her best friend during the day. These jobs give us the flexibility to be with our future children more.

Our Home & Neighborhood

Our house has been in Amanda's family for over 75 years. It's a farmhouse on 3 acres in a quiet country neighborhood. We live very close to our families and are only about 10 minutes from our local town and 20 minutes from our closest city. Our town is your typical small town. Our church, high school, pharmacy, library, restaurants, grocery store, Amanda's tanning salon, and quaint little shops are all in our town. We spend a lot of time there since it has all our essentials. We love to take our dog, Tilly, for walks there. We rescued Tilly a year ago from a foster. She's the perfect fit for our family. She's goofy and sweet and absolutely loves kids.

Our Family & Friends

We both have large families that we see regularly. Nick has three younger siblings. Nick's brother and wife live 3 minutes away from us. Nick's one sister and husband just had a little baby girl. They also live within 20 minutes of us, and their house is right across the street from Nick's grandparents. His youngest sister lives at home with Nick's parents, which is only about 15 minutes away. Nick has three cousins; two of which are close to our age and one that is 7. Amanda has one brother. He lives with Amanda's parents, and they live 5 minutes away. Amanda has four cousins that are in their teens. We get together very frequently with our cousins, aunts, and uncles. We both come from close-knit families that love any excuse for dinner. Nick's family is Italian, so we always have the biggest dinners. Nick has a lot of great-aunts and uncles that live out of town, so any time they visit, we get the whole family together at his grandparents' house for dinner. Amanda's family loves having picnics with yard games. Every holiday, most birthdays, and any random weekend, we make time to see our families.

What Led Us To Adoption

Nick has always had a heart for adoption, and after struggling with infertility for 5 years, we really felt God calling us to adopt. Three days in a row, God showed us signs about adoption. One Saturday at church, there was a flyer for a "Prospective Adoptive Families Luncheon." We laughed the whole way through church, just thinking that our sign could not be any clearer. We were both all in, and the further along we get, the more excited we are to grow our family through adoption.
