Family Type: Lesbian
State we live in: Ohio

dear expectant mother

Thank you for taking the time to get to know a little about us and our lives. We cannot even pretend to know how overwhelming and hard this decision must be for you. All we can say is, without your sacrifice, we would not be able to be parents, and that is all we have ever dreamed of. We are here for you, and we feel respect and admiration for you. We are very thankful you are considering adoption for your baby, a decision that must be extremely difficult for you to consider.

If we are lucky enough to have you choose us as parents to your child, you have our promise that we will raise them in a safe environment, surrounded by all the love we can give. We promise to teach them kindness and responsibility and to help them grow into who they were meant to be. We will stand behind them and give support in whatever they decide to do in life. Whatever sports they pick, we will be right there at each game rooting them on, win or lose. We will help them realize their worth and true potential. We will say a prayer on their birthday, every year, thanking God for you, your generosity, and your selfless act. Thank you for considering us.

Without your sacrifice, we would not be able to be parents, and that is all we have ever dreamed of.

-Amanda & Kathryn

About Us

We have been together for seven years and married for five. Amanda was working at church in childcare and needed help. The woman hired ended up being Kathryn. Amanda was a certified dental assistant for thirteen years; she now takes care of the household and dogs. Kathryn works as a CNC jig grinder, where she’s been for seven years; she also attends college and will graduate as a cybersecurity hacker. We love dogs! We enjoy walking and traveling with our dogs and vacation two to four times a year. Our favorite place is Florida. We are Chicago Cubs fans and enjoy a weekend of sightseeing, museums, and a Cubbies game. We enjoy going to farmers markets and festivals. We are financially stable and ready to open our home and hearts to a child.

Our Home & Pets

We moved into Amanda’s childhood home in a cul-de-sac with a fenced yard. In the backyard, there’s a path that takes us to a pool club, where we are members. In the next cul-de-sac, there is a path that brings us to a park with many amenities and playground equipment. This is an extremely safe neighborhood located in our city's Blue Ribbon school district. Blizzard, our husky, is very expressive. Miracle, our little lassie girl, is sweet but timid. Holly the beagle has quite the personality, with weird poses and silly faces. We could not imagine a life without dogs.

Our Extended Family

Amanda had a big family growing up but has lost quite a few family members over the past eight years, including her parents. Amanda still has one brother and his wife who she is close with. Also, her grandmother lives a short distance away in Indiana. She has an aunt and uncle and a few cousins who live in Chicago, so whenever we go to catch a Cubs game, we try to get together. We are also blessed with some good friends we consider family, and we have a few good friends in other states we like to visit when we travel.

Kathryn’s parents live fifteen minutes from us and have a nice house with a pool in the back. We look forward to the barbeques in the summer while the dogs roam the yard, and we can’t wait to see your little one interact with them! Kathryn has two uncles who live in Florida. We went to visit them two years ago and cannot wait to go back.

What Led Us To Adoption

After many failed fertility attempts, we knew we had to find another way to fulfill our life-long dream of being parents. From day one, we both knew being parents was important to us. As an adopted child herself Amanda knows a little about the process, she has a different perspective and appreciation for the beauty of adoption. We feel like there is a missing piece to our story. We cannot wait and are hopeful we will be able to see the light at the end of the tunnel and make our family complete.
