Family Type: Heterosexual Couple
State We live in: Wisconsin

dear expectant mother

We want to share our deep admiration for the strength and courage it takes to consider adoption. We can only imagine the weight of the decisions you are facing, and we are grateful that you’re taking time to learn about our family.

Family is the foundation of our lives, and creating a home filled with love, stability, safety, and joy is our biggest priority. We are blessed with four children, three young boys and a daughter who died young and we hold in our hearts. We know the heartbreak of saying goodbye and the fierce love that never ends. We honor that love and strength in you.

We live in a fantastic community in Wisconsin, blocks from grandparents, siblings and cousins—there always seems to be a birthday to celebrate! We cherish the small moments, snuggles and mealtime and art projects and teeth brushing. We love to live life and make memories as a family, traveling and hiking and big family parties and summer weekends at the family lake house. Each day as a family together is a gift.

If we are lucky enough to be chosen by you, we promise to always have a safe, nurturing and love-filled home. We will always listen and honor your child’s unique story and background. We will celebrate your child’s gifts and support your child’s growth and needs.

Thank you for considering us. We hold love and light in our hearts for you as you decide the path that is best for you and your child.

With love,
Amanda & Ryan

Our Love Story

We first met in middle school during the musical Annie. Ryan played Daddy Warbucks, and Amanda was one of the orphans—that’s when my crush first began. A few years later, in high school, we were cast as love interests in the school play. The chemistry was real, and soon after, we began dating. That was over 20 years ago, and today we’re still each other’s favorite person. Our story hasn’t been perfect—life has thrown us its share of challenges—but we’ve always faced them together. Through it all, we’ve learned the importance of laughter, patience, and leaning on each other when things get hard. We make it a priority to support one another, whether it’s training for a triathlon, going to a concert, or simply enjoying a movie night and popcorn at home. At the heart of our relationship is friendship, love, and the commitment to keep showing up for each other every day.

Our Home & Neighborhood

Our town is a wonderful place to call home, blending the charm of a small town with the convenience of a big city. Our neighborhood is filled with tree-lined streets, parks, and rivers that make it easy to enjoy the outdoors. We love walking to the Village area for local shops, restaurants, the farmers market, and local festivals. Families here look out for one another, and there’s a strong sense of connection. With excellent schools, safe neighborhoods, summer outdoor concerts in the Village, it's a welcoming, family-friendly community where a child can thrive. We have wonderful neighbors and friends nearby; the kids can walk or bike to their friends’ houses to play. We live blocks from both sets of parents and each have siblings nearby.

Our Family & Friends

We are blessed with four beautiful kids. William, 10, is a natural learner; he loves music and building things. Henry, 6, has a huge heart; he loves animals and legos. Finn, 4, has boundless energy; he loves sports and Spiderman. Greta, died from complications of prematurity when she was a baby, 8 years ago. We miss her fiercely and honor her legacy by volunteering with our local NICU and March of Dimes.

We are blessed with two big and fun families! We both have 4 siblings, amazing brothers and sisters-in-law, and combined 11 nieces and nephews, ranging from 2 to 22! Our boys love playing with their cousins and grandparents weekly. Amanda’s family has a lake house in central Wisconsin; we spend many summer weekends on the boat and enjoying country life with the kids swimming, playing kickball, and always eating popsicles. Ryan’s parents are amazing cheerleaders for our sons’ soccer games and love to bake and garden with the kids.

Our family life is big, busy and beautiful! We are both close with our siblings and love being from big families; we want the same for our kids and hope we can grow our family through the gift of adoption.

Our Favorite Adventures

We've been fortunate to travel the world, experiencing new cultures, foods, and adventures—especially through our kids’ eyes! As a couple, our favorite trips were to Indonesia, Greece, and Italy. The kids have loved the beaches of the Bahamas, Ireland’s cliffs, Arizona hikes, and Puerto Rico adventures. Most recently, we explored Costa Rica with extended family—hiking rainforests, swimming in the ocean, and spotting wildlife. Closer to home, we camp twice a year in Door County, WI. One trip is with Ryan’s family, where the kids love running around with cousins. The other is with 15 local families, camping right on Lake Michigan. We cherish these moments to have fun, explore, and make lasting memories together.
