dear expectant mother

Dear Expectant Mother,

Thank you for your time and for considering us! There are few words we think quite reach the level of courage, strength, and beauty that describe your journey of adoption. We imagine you have many feelings going through your mind and heart at this time, and we know you have searched deeply within yourself.

We are excited by the opportunity to give your child a place in our family. We want you to know that in our home, compassion, optimism, and gratefulness are present. We would be very grateful to provide your child with the same life we are giving our son: spending time with loved ones and experiencing life’s cherished moments of growth and love, days of laughing and learning, family trips and exploring, and opportunities to forge relationships and friendships in a peaceful environment where we are committed to prioritizing parenting and loving our children.

Should you choose us, your child will be unconditionally loved and blessed beyond words. We have the loving support of family and friends who live close by and have the enjoyment and encouragement of these relationships. We dream of adding a child to our family, where love rules, and if you feel moved by our pictures and profile, please contact us. We would love to meet you.

Bonding is a sacred action, and in your time, we look forward to meeting you and beginning the journey.

WIth love,
Lucas & Amy

We thoroughly enjoy being parents and want to grow our family. Adoption is something we fell in love with because it makes it possible to be parents again and for our son to have a sibling.

About Us

We are both from and currently reside in Illinois. We have both lived in different parts of the country and feel so fortunate that our paths crossed. We are blessed to share our kind and caring family and friends. We share traditions and go on adventures, but building our own family has been the most amazing blessing of all! Lucas is a finance manager, and Amy is a yoga instructor and nurse. We love creating, camping, having a bonfire in our backyard, seeing new and old sights, playing games and puzzles, going to parades and festivals, or simply having a dance party in the living room. We have many different interests. Amy can be found cooking, practicing yoga, gardening, and being in nature, while Lucas loves to hike trails, listen to and write music, dance, and watch sporting events.

Our Home & Pets

We live in a quiet, safe suburb, close enough to experience the excitement of city life and far enough away to see stars and find nature’s relaxing embrace. Our house is near an adorable pond with a loop trail around it, a playground, and a splash pad. We live near the downtown of our village, and it has a small-town feel; we visit the local ice cream parlor weekly and know the pizza shop owner by name. We also live very close to grandparents and close friends. Along with our four-year-old son, we are home to a 13-year old dog, who has been excellent with our son. She cuddles up to him and should win a “one of the best cuddle-puppies of all time” award.

Our Extended Family

Amy's parents live within a 10-minute drive from us, and Lucas’s extended family, including his parents, live in nearby suburbs. Amy has one brother who lives in Utah. We enjoy visiting and exploring with him and his family. From hiking beautiful mountains to partaking in the annual Pride Parade, it’s great we are able to remain close and make lasting memories for our children.

Lucas has one brother and one sister who both live close to us. Our families get together for many major holidays, birthdays, camping excursions, and summer festivals. Our son loves getting together with his many cousins; he's really lucky he has such a large and connected family.

We are very close to both of our families, keep in touch on a near daily basis, and always search for ways to get together. Lucas’s favorite event is a weekend-long summer festival in his small hometown with shopping at the flea market, parades, and rides at the carnival. Amy loves visiting her extended family in Upstate New York. This event is filled with kids getting together simply to enjoy a weeklong outdoor bash! Both of these events are lifelong family traditions we now share with our child.

What Led Us To Adoption

We thoroughly enjoy being parents and want to grow our family. Adoption is something we fell in love with because it makes it possible to be parents again and for our son to have a sibling. We have much more love, time, and wisdom to share with another child. We have family and each have a close friend who has recently adopted a baby. Their stories have inspired us.
