dear expectant mother

Dear Expectant Mother,

Thank you for taking the time to read our profile to learn more about us. We can never understand the depth of emotion you are experiencing, but we admire your strength and courage in making this loving decision.

Being touched by adoption individually, we both have some understanding of the ultimate act of love you are considering. We respect and recognize the sacrifice you are making and how it will impact the lifelong dream of completing our family. As prospective parents, it would be our pleasure to get to know you and understand your story. Equally, we would be thrilled to share more about ourselves.

If you choose us, we promise your child every opportunity for unconditional love and happiness. From sharing Christmas traditions to an average Wednesday walk in the neighborhood, we will cherish each moment. Additionally, we will introduce our love of adventure, travel, and nature to them. Our goal is to make them a kind and generous person who is humble in the face of adversity and treats others with the same love and respect they receive at home.

Again, thank you for considering us. It would be our privilege to be their loving parents. Your willingness to help us realize our dream of being dads is the greatest gift we could ever receive.

Much love and respect,
Andrew and David

About Us

We are Andrew and David! We currently live in a major city in Georgia. We have been together for eleven years and were recently married. We both grew up in small Southeastern towns, come from similar backgrounds, and share common interests and values. We have a support system that consists of family, friends, and a spiritual community. We are both well into our careers with major companies, which are very supportive of our dream of becoming parents. We enjoy attending concerts, touring museums, and hiking in nature. We are avid college sports fans and also support the major sports teams in our city. We enjoy spending time with friends who share our love for life, traveling, trying new restaurants, or spending a quiet evening at home with just the two of us.

Our Home & Pets

We purchased our home in 2016, and prior to moving in, we completed a renovation. Our home is conveniently located to parks and city attractions and is in one of the best school districts. The neighborhood is quiet, with one entrance, and has several green spaces. With all of the beautiful trees and greenery, we feel like we are living outside the city. We have two loving mini-schnauzers and a sweet orange tabby cat. The mini-schnauzers are thirteen and seven years old, and the cat is five years old. On any given day, you can find them napping together or having playtime.

Our Extended Family

We are very fortunate that both of our families are a car ride away. Andrew’s family also lives in Georgia and lives the closest to us. Andrew has one younger brother, a sister-in-law, a niece, and a nephew. Andrew’s mother is still living, but he recently lost his dad at the end of 2021. David’s parents live not too far away in a neighboring state. David, the youngest of three children, has an older brother, a sister-in-law, and two nephews. David’s sister is the oldest and is also married. We both share a large extended family we enjoy seeing at various family reunions.

We enjoy hosting both families at our house for Thanksgiving each year. We also love seeing our family at Christmas and enjoy spoiling our niece and nephews. These two traditions have become very special to us and bring us great joy. We also enjoy spending time with our families on weekend trips. We both agree that family is one of the most important things and believe it is essential to have a relationship between the generations. Grandparents, aunts, and uncles have a lot of knowledge and family stories to pass on to younger generations.

What Led Us To Adoption

When we met, we quickly realized adoption was one of the things we had in common. Andrew and his brother were adopted as well as David’s brother and sister, who were adopted by their stepdad (David’s biological father), so our adoption story started long before we even were aware. In the beginning of our relationship, we realized from our shared experience we wanted to adopt and provide the love and compassion our families showed us and our siblings. We can’t wait to be parents!
