dear expectant mother

Dear Mom,

We could not be more ecstatic about the possibility of bringing your baby into our family. We have been planning our family for several years, so it’s easy for us to plan the knowns, embrace the changes, and adjust to the unknowns. However, the other side of this story involves the birth of your child and the relationship you have had for nine months. We’re confident the decision you’re considering isn’t easy. We can assure you, if you choose us, your baby will receive the utmost love, care, and commitment deserving of any human. We appreciate you wanting to give your child the opportunity to be a son or daughter, a sibling, a grandchild, and perhaps someday a parent themselves. We thank you for considering trusting us to love, nurture, and care for their every need.

The process of adopting our first son was engulfed in emotions. While Aidan came as a complete surprise, before we knew it, our hearts were pouring out love for our little boy. Even months after the adoption was finalized, we found ourselves elated, eyes welling up, proud and joyous as parents. We are surrounded by so many people who are so accepting and supportive, and most importantly, they will love your child as we will ourselves. We take comfort knowing we have such a group to encourage us every step of the way. Adoption has been the happiest time of our lives. Again, thank you for considering us.

About Us

In 2012 we met online and began communicating regularly. In just a few short months, Andrew relocated to sunny Florida to live with Matt, where we reside with our pets. Andrew proposed to Matt, and in December 2016, we were married in St. Pete, Florida, in a quaint but special ceremony. We soon relocated back to TX in 2017. Andrew has been a real estate agent since 2012 and finds joy in finding homes for his clients. Matt works in public safety and has done so for nearly 26 years. We both enjoy going all out for the holidays, traveling, theme parks, and playing with our son. When working around the home, we love to have our son be involved to teach him whenever possible. Family time together is our most important and fun activity, whether it’s at the zoo or the park or seeing family.

Our Home & Pets

We currently live in a small suburb in Texas. It has shown us it’s a tight community in times of need. We enjoy going to the zoo, aquarium, and parks for various occasions. We also have created annual traditions to travel and look at holiday lights and attractions. We love spending time with family for birthdays and holidays and playing in the water at the beach or a pool. Fortunately a lot of Andrew’s family is close. We have two dogs currently, Belle and Zak. They have grown to love Aidan, and he loves giving them pets and rubs.

Our Extended Family

We both come from relatively large families. Andrew’s family is very activity oriented, and holidays, birthdays, and other special occasions are joyous as we play games and watch the children grow and play together. Andrew has one sister, who’s married with three kids. His mom, dad, stepmom, aunt’s family, and grandparents all live within an hour. Aidan has numerous cousins with families who also live close by. Aidan has two cousins who are close to his age. We enjoy watching them play together.

Matt’s family is primarily in Florida so it’s more difficult, but video calls take place often and vacations are planned around them so all can be together. Matt has one brother who’s married with three kids and one sister. Matt’s parents are retired and are able to travel to see Aidan. We are excited to be near family to continue traditions and gatherings and to see Aidan grow and learn with his cousins.

Our Adoption Story

In late 2018 we began our initial adoption journey. It was approximately 1.5 years after our journey began. Matt was at work when he received the call on a Saturday. Before we could turn around twice, we were headed to OK to meet our son, Aidan. It was our dream come true, and we immediately fell in love with him. It’s been an amazing time thus far. Now, nearly two years later, we are ready to grow our family and share our love with another boy or girl that we know we’ll all love. Aidan loves kids, and it’s such a joy to see him interact so kindly with others.
