dear expectant mother

Dear Expecting Mother,

You are so brave and strong as you selflessly consider families for your baby. We are deeply honored that you may be considering us as adoptive parents, and we are truly grateful for the courage and love it takes to walk this path. While we cannot fully understand the emotions you may be feeling, please know that we admire your strength, compassion, and courage.

Our greatest hope is that your baby will always feel surrounded by unconditional love and support. Should you choose us, we promise to share our favorite places, explore the world together, and teach them the importance of kindness, curiosity, and embracing others for exactly who they are. We will walk beside them through every stage of life, offering encouragement, guidance, and endless love.

We will also make sure your child always knows where they came from and honor their story as a vital part of who they are. Please remember, no matter what you decide, your choice will be the right one—for you and your precious baby.

Our Love Story

We are Anna and Alyssa from Georgia, and we’ve been together for five wonderful years. Our story began when Alyssa moved from Sacramento, CA, to play college softball at the same school where Anna had also signed. From the start, we shared not only a love for the sport but also a deep connection that grew into a strong and loving partnership. We truly balance each other out. Alyssa is the fun, outgoing, and playful one, while Anna is quieter and more reserved—but always ready to laugh and enjoy life. Together, we push one another to be the best versions of ourselves and cheer each other on through every stage of life. Some of our favorite moments are the simple ones, like sitting on our back porch watching our dogs play. Alyssa works as a Veterinary Technician, and Anna is a Registered Nurse. We are both grateful to be in careers centered on care and compassion, and we cannot wait to pour that same love and dedication into raising a child together.

Our Home & Neighborhood

We love our three-bedroom, two-bathroom home, perfectly located just minutes from several parks and the county recreation center, which offers baseball and softball fields, tennis courts, and more. Our favorite spot, though, is our backyard—especially the screened-in porch where we spend countless evenings relaxing while our dogs run and play in the fenced yard. Life at home is always full of energy thanks to our four dogs—Gracie, Hazel, Frankie, and Margo—and our three cats—Aspen, Sage, and Fern—who constantly keep us on our toes. Our neighborhood is gated, safe, and filled with wonderful neighbors who feel more like family. Even better, Alyssa’s parents are only a 30-minute drive away, and Anna’s parents are just an hour away. We truly can’t wait to raise a child in this warm, welcoming community.

Our Family & Friends

Family means the world to us. Alyssa’s family is originally from California, so we make frequent trips to visit—at least once a year. Her parents have since moved to Georgia to be closer to her, and now live on a lake where fishing has become one of our favorite shared activities. Anna’s family lives on a farm, complete with lots of chickens and a big pond perfect for fishing. We’re fortunate to live close to both sides of our family, and we usually share a meal together at least once a week to catch up on life. Hosting holidays has also become a tradition—last year we hosted Thanksgiving, and it was such a joy! Alongside family, we’re blessed with incredible friends. Katie, Matt, their daughter Ella, Anna, and Zach are some of our closest companions. We love getting together for game nights once a month, rotating who hosts. These moments with family and friends fill our lives with laughter, love, and lasting memories.

Our Favorite Adventures

The mountains have quickly become our favorite getaway. Each trip, our dogs come along and love hiking just as much as we do. Out of all the places we’ve visited, Blue Ridge, GA, has our hearts. We love its small-town charm so much that we even spent two weeks there for our honeymoon. Just a short drive away is our favorite hike—Benton Falls Trail—where Anna proposed to Alyssa in front of a waterfall. It’s a place filled with beauty, adventure, and some of our most cherished memories.
