Family Type: Gay Couple
State We live in: Colorado

dear expectant mother

We cannot begin to imagine what you are going through but want to acknowledge how brave, loving, and selfless you are for considering adoption. Your situation is unique and personal, and we respect your choice. Only you know what is best for your baby, so we greatly appreciate you considering our family.

We understand what a personal and difficult decision it is to choose an adoptive family, so we want to ensure you we will provide a truly loving, nurturing, and supportive environment surrounded by family and close friends. We have been blessed with an adoptive son and have seen the many positives associated with adoption. Should you choose us as the adoptive family, we will ensure your child is provided for, educated, traveled, multilingual, and, most importantly, surrounded by love, laughter, and fun.

We would be extremely honored if you chose and entrusted our family with the incredible gift of adoption.

About Us

We are a fun-loving couple who value family, friends, and traveling. We met in New York City, got engaged on the top of Table Mountain in South Africa, and were married on the beach in Charleston, South Carolina. Humor and support are the cornerstones of our relationship. We love hiking, snow skiing, and camping, which is what brought us to Colorado. We have visited seven countries as a couple and have plans for many more with the family. Patrick is a pediatrician who speaks Spanish, and Antonis is an actuary (pension planner) who speaks Greek. We both love our jobs, but family always comes first.

Our Home

We specifically chose our home in Colorado because of its proximity to multiple children’s parks (one directly in front of our home), excellent schools, and the family-friendly neighborhood. Our home is a welcoming two-story home with three bedrooms on the second floor, perfect for parents and two children to be in close proximity. We also chose the home because the finished basement provides a safe, spacious play area for the children; the large, open kitchen is perfect for Antonis’s baking and cooking; and the backyard is full of vegetation, including tomatoes, pumpkins, basil and mint that we eat on a regular basis.

Our Extended Family

Patrick’s mom, brother, and nephew live in South Carolina, where he grew up, in a small town. They are very close and get together at least twice a year, with Thanksgiving holidays always being full of food, music, and lots of laughs. There is a tradition of playing board games when they get together with gag gifts as prizes. Surprise birthday parties with lots of balloons is another long-running family tradition.

Antonis’s family lives in Cyprus (an island in the Mediterranean with a close connection to Greece) and includes his two sisters, four nieces, and a nephew. Antonis was raised in Cyprus and helped take care of his nieces and nephews when they were young. We visit Cyprus at least once a year, and family traditions include bowling, beach time, and trips to the mountains. Food and music are important parts of the Greek-Cypriot culture, and we always enjoy those as a family.

Our Adoption Story

We both always dreamed of having a family and are fortunate to have had an excellent adoption journey. While the wait was long, we matched with an amazing son who enriched our lives beyond imagination. From the day we brought him home at nine days of life, there has been pure love, adventure, and joy in our household and beyond. He has grown into an amazingly caring, smart, and social toddler who brings smiles to anyone he interacts with. We understand the complexities of adoption and have seen first-hand the beauty and love it brings. We look forward to growing our family and continuing to provide a loving, supportive, and fun environment.
