dear expectant mother

Dear Expectant Mother,

We cannot begin to express the emotions we feel for you during this very difficult journey. We know that each side of this adoption process comes with its own set of emotions, many of which others may never fully understand. As prospective parents, we've faced the heartbreak of not being able to have a child biologically, and we are deeply grateful for the opportunity to build our family through adoption.

If chosen, we promise to love this child with every ounce of love we have. We will cherish every moment and make sure they always know where they came from. We want them to grow up knowing that their birth mother loves them and has never stopped loving them. We may not know your reasons for choosing adoption, and we would never pass judgment. All we can do is thank you and love this child the way you hoped someone would. Throughout this process and from what we've learned about adoption, we understand there is loss. We will always speak about you with respect and love, and we will ensure this child knows how much love went into this decision. We hope to provide a life full of laughter, safety, opportunity, and unconditional love. Thank you for considering us—we know this is not an easy decision, and we are honored by your strength.

With love and respect,
Edward and Bailey

About Us

Hello! We are Edward and Bailey. We have been together for nearly eleven years, but we have been friends forever. We're high school sweethearts who have supported each other through the toughest losses and the greatest accomplishments. As a couple, we tend to joke around and have fun, but we also know when to be serious. We are both very outgoing, loyal, and would drop everything to help the people we love. After long days at work, we enjoy coming home, unwinding, and spending time with each other. We also enjoy spending time with our dogs. We have a simple routine where we can relax, recharge, and occasionally treat ourselves to a night out. Both of us enjoy watching and playing sports—we can be a bit competitive with each other! Football, hockey, basketball—you name it, we watch. Though we have different personalities in some ways, we are always on the same page when it comes to enjoying life.

Our Home & Neighborhood

We purchased our current home in September 2024 as we were looking for something in a better neighborhood with more space to grow our family. We moved into a home with three to four bedrooms and multiple bathrooms. It also has a fenced-in backyard with a playset and plenty of space to run around. Our neighborhood has many children and families, and we're close to multiple schools and playgrounds. We live in Massachusetts, so we get all four seasons around here, with some lasting longer than others! We have two dogs, Luna and Zoey. Both of them are a very big part of our family. They love playing in the backyard, meeting new people, and sitting on the couch to cuddle with their toys. We live close to both of our families, which makes it easier to spend time together!

Our Family & Friends

As a couple, we are extremely family-oriented. We have family dinners with our families and see our immediate family on a weekly basis. On Bailey's side, there are two brothers and two stepbrothers, and on Edward's side, he has one older brother. We also have two nieces and two nephews of all different ages—these children are the light of our lives!

We're very close to our siblings. Every year, we take family vacations, which is a tradition we look forward to. Our family is extremely supportive, especially when they found out we could not have kids naturally. They've been here to support, love, and encourage us through every step of this process so far. We have no doubt that every single person in our family would be here for us and our future child. We have a big, blended family that works together, as it takes a village to raise children! A few of our close friends are like family, too. They have been supportive through every step and look forward to our future.

What Led Us To Adoption

Adoption for us is our light at the end of the tunnel. It's giving us the opportunity to expand our family while helping a child and a birth mother. Due to an autoimmune disorder, we are unable to get pregnant. After multiple doctor's appointments and surrogacy meetings, we decided that this was the best option for us. We knew we always wanted to be parents, and we would stop at nothing to make our dream come true. Just the thought of becoming parents excites us and makes us look forward to the future. We have many children in our family and among our friends, which excites us even more. We cannot wait for the next chapter!
