dear expectant mother

Dear Expectant Mother,

We are so grateful to be considered as adoptive parents for your child. We promise we will love them, care for them, and teach them so they become strong individuals who are confident and just as courageous as you! We admire your selflessness and your strength in your decision.

The things we want to teach your baby the most are love, kindness, and compassion. Our greatest gift back to you would be to raise a wonderful person who knows how truly loved they are by many people. Our role as their adoptive parents would be to provide them with confidence and a solid foundation to lean on by preparing them for life emotionally and spiritually. We cannot wait to tell them their story and how lucky they are to have someone like you to make this life-altering decision for them. We look forward to watching them grow up and follow their dreams.

By choosing us, you also choose grandparents who read books, give baths, and sneak cookies to their grandbabies. You choose uncles who love football and woodworking but are gentle and kind. You choose aunts who are business owners, love dancing, and are loving and caring. You choose an eager and excited brother who can relate to your child and be a lifelong friend to them and cannot wait to have a sibling. Your baby will be surrounded by a big family that opens their arms to anyone who wants to be loved. We cannot express how thankful we are to you, and we have the utmost respect for your decision.

We are so grateful to be considered as adoptive parents for your child. We promise we will love them, care for them, and teach them so they become strong individuals who are confident and just as courageous as you!

About Us

Our family is outgoing, adventurous, athletic, and close knit. We love to laugh together, play games, and spend time with our extended family. We can also appreciate a relaxing movie night in with popcorn and PJs. Kiersten is a teacher and coach, and Bonnie is a detective. We have a three-year-old son, Nolan, who was adopted. We love to spend our time together going to the park, taking walks in our neighborhood, enjoying time on our porch in the evenings, and going to our neighborhood pool. We enjoy staying active together, and we are always up for an adventure! Our family getaways are at the beach or weekend trips to the lake or cabin in the mountains. We are quite frequently at a baseball field, basketball court, or football field. No matter where we are or what adventure we are on, we love to spend time together and cherish simple things.

Our Home & Pets

Our home in Georgia is in a kid-friendly neighborhood only five minutes from the local elementary school. There are several families that have children nearby. We have a pool, tennis courts, and a pond in our neighborhood. Our house has four bedrooms, with a playroom for our son. There is a beautiful fenced backyard with lots of nature and pretty plants. Our favorite spot in the house is our screened-in porch, where we enjoy our fires and movies. We have a dog named Clyde who is a Bernese mountain dog. Clyde loves his backyard space and snoozing by the fireplace. Our community is in a metropolitan area outside of the city, where we can enjoy professional sports games, concerts, the zoo, and the aquarium.

Our Extended Family

Our extended family is big but close knit. We have a combined 13 nieces and nephews within our extended family! Most of our family members live close by, and we get to see them often.

Kiersten is the middle child of three children. Her sister lives locally, and her brother lives in Tennessee. Her parents are located only 45 minutes from our home and visit weekly or take us on boat rides at the nearby lake. Bonnie is the youngest of four children. All siblings except for one live locally. Bonnie’s parents are located close by, and we get to see them a lot. We love to have Sunday brunch with them and dinner together before walking to the park. We enjoy going to the nieces and nephews’ school and sporting events.

Some of our traditions include our Annual Family Reindeer Games, cookie decorating for Christmas, baking Easter bunny cakes, and Sunday brunch after church. Most family get-togethers are full of singing, laughing, and dancing with lots of happy kids. We are thankful to be surrounded by love and enjoy being able to be involved in each other’s lives.

Our Adoption Story

Adoption has always been special to us. Before going through the adoption process with our son, we always felt drawn to the idea of adoption to build our family, but experiencing it makes it even more beautiful. Our journey to have another child has led us here because we know how special it is to share that kind of love. We cannot wait to share the love we have for our son with another child. We look forward to seeing our son bond with a new brother or sister and for them to be able to relate with one another over the adoption process. They will know they both have their own beautiful, unique story that is built on love.
