State We live in: Illinois

dear expectant mother

As you take this time to make this decision, please know we are here with open arms and hearts, thinking of you and your baby each step of the way. We know making this choice is incredibly difficult not only for you but also for the child you’re bringing into this world. We are so excited to become parents. We’ve been hoping to grow our family for a long time, so we’re honored you’re considering us for the opportunity to love and care for your baby. We are committed to being great parents and have so much love to give to you and your baby.

While we would encourage your child to try lots of hobbies and experiences, we would not expect them to follow our path or passions. Instead, we would support their unique interests and individuality and help them be the best versions of themselves. We promise to fill your child's days with adventures and surround them with a caring community and family, giving them great affection with unconditional love.

We don’t know each other yet, but we hope you have gained a sense of who we are and the kind of parents we would like to be to your baby if you choose us. Choices like these are difficult, and we hope we can make this decision even the tiniest bit easier moving forward.

About Us

We first met in college and have been married for almost ten years. We love to travel, and during these ten years of marriage, we've traveled to around twenty countries and lots of states in the U.S. Both of us work in creative fields, which gives us a lot to relate to with similar jobs and challenges. Over the years, we’ve been able to work together and help each other on different projects throughout our careers. This collaboration has strengthened our relationship. Most couples don't get to see each other as much as we do, but this has made us closer in our relationship and marriage. We love spending time together, whether traveling around the world, riding bikes, playing board games with friends, taking care of our home, or just chatting around a campfire.

Our Home & Pets

We live in Illinois. Our neighborhood is family friendly, with a park and schools nearby. Our home has plenty of space for us both to work from home and room for our family to grow, even with a cute, cuddly orange cat taking up some of that space. We have a yard we enjoy gardening in and grilling with family and friends. The different neighborhoods nearby give us a chance to explore other food and cultures whenever we want, but at the same time, our diverse neighborhood allows us to explore a ton within a couple of blocks as well.

Our Extended Family

Brad has a sister and two brothers who live in the area. In addition, his parents, aunts, and uncles are also local, making family gatherings fun since everyone lives nearby. We spend Christmas, Thanksgiving, Easter, and often the Fourth of July with them as it seems someone is always inviting people over. We also host friends and family in our home for festive Christmas celebrations and yearly St Patrick’s Day parties.

Maeve’s three sisters and one brother live in Oregon with their families. With them living on the West Coast means we don’t see them as much as Brad’s family, but we try to make it out yearly to visit or even meet up in other cities or countries for family vacations. One of our frequent and favorite places to go when visiting family is the beach on the Oregon coast.

What Led Us To Adoption

We have always wanted to start a family together, and our path has led us to adoption. It would be a dream come true for us to adopt a baby. Our extended family members are adopted, and we've seen firsthand the joy adoption brings our family. The two of us know this will grow our family with not only a child but also the potential to grow our extended family with the birthparents in our lives.
