dear expectant mother

Dear Expectant Mother,

Thank you for your time spent reviewing our profile. While we can’t imagine how difficult this decision you are making is, we want you to know that if chosen, your child will be showered with love, care, and compassion, and we will do our very best to always put him or her first every minute of every day.

We are grateful to even be considered to be fathers as it has been a desire of both of ours for years. Together with our large pool of family and friends, we have an excellent support system, guidance, and help to ensure we can provide an excellent life and future for your child. We are so excited to fill our days coloring pictures, building snowmen, having breakfast with Mickey on our Disney trips, having swimming parties with nieces and nephews in our pool, and everything else that brings laughter, happiness, and joy to the life of a child along with providing the guidance, resources, and direction to ensure a positive and successful future.

Thank you again for getting to know us. We look forward to the opportunity to further get to know each other.

We are grateful to even be considered to be fathers as it has been a desire of both of ours for years.

About Us

We are Kurt and Brian, two goofy when allowable, serious when necessary, and always as fun as possible people. We met in 2015, knew it was meant to be from the first few minutes, got married in 2016, and here we are! Kurt works as a CPA and is also the financial guru for our real estate company, where Brian runs most of the hands-on activities. We have a passion for bringing deteriorated buildings back to life, so work and play become one and the same. When it's time to relax, we enjoy going to baseball games, traveling, meeting up with friends, making fun of the fake drama on HGTV renovation shows, and getting together with family to celebrate anything we can.

Our Home & Pets

We were living in the Chicago suburbs in Brian’s old house when we got married but decided we needed a “together house,” so we moved a little farther west and have a great 5 -bedroom home in a quiet wooded area just north of town. Our two cats; Oliver, who was left in one of our apartments and Zeek who we found wandering the middle of the road this summer are really enjoying exploring and watching Turkeys, Deer and Chipmunks from all the windows. Our home has every kids dream of an indoor pool with water slide, and we're still minutes to parks and fun, have great public and private schools, and are minutes from work, making for more family time and less commuting time.

Our Extended Family

We are really fortunate both of our families live in Illinois as well. Kurt is the oldest of four siblings and has one niece, six nephews, and his parents all within a two-hour drive or less. His extended family still hosts large holiday gatherings where we can sometimes have 40 to 50 people.

Brian is the middle child of four with only two nephews and one niece. After his mom lost her battle with lung cancer, his dad’s fiance has brought two stepsisters to the family. While holidays on his side of the family are usually a little smaller, we do celebrate birthdays and have a special way of singing “Happy Birthday” that usually draws a chuckle from everyone else in the restaurant.

What Led Us To Adoption

We both come from large and active families who spend lots of time together. We have had our share of watching our nieces and nephews come into the world and grow, so it is natural that we both have a strong passion to have a hand in raising a child of our own. Kurt has a niece who was adopted a few years ago and has brought so much love to his brother's family along with adding a sister to the family of three brothers. When we saw how much love was shared by the entire family, we knew what we needed to do, and here we are!
