dear expectant mother

Dear Expectant Mother,

We hope that this letter finds you well, and that the journey that has led to you reading this letter has been a healthy and supportive one. We have been supporting you from afar without even knowing you. The strength that you have is incredible, and, we are sure, not always easy. We want you to know that your baby will be loved, given opportunities for great things in life, and, depending on your feelings, we would love for that to involve you as well, always. It is obviously an emotional process for all involved, and we are involved with our whole hearts. We are there for you, and for your baby first and foremost. We appreciate you taking the time to read about us, and we pray and hope the very best for you and your family.

We cannot wait to grow our family and continue to build a loving and caring home. Adoption is a blessing on both ends of the situation.

-Brian & Meg

About Us

What is really special about us is that we first met when Brian was in kindergarten and Meg was in preschool. Brian and Meg’s older brother became best friends, and our families had a special connection. After 15 years being apart, we reconnected and the bond had not been lost. The rest is history!

We have very different personalities. Brian loves to be consistent, reliable, and relaxed. He works hard as a Senior Vice President of Marketing. He is the first to step in to help and guide others around him. Meg is exuberant, loving to meet any and all people. She has been a teacher, a social worker, and an artist and looks for the fun things in life. We enjoy traveling the world, giving back, and, of course, the casual game night at home.

Our Home & Neighborhood

We have a wonderful community and a very quaint neighborhood where everyone looks out for each other. We all gather for holidays; there is an Easter Egg hunt, a Halloween Parade, Christmas Tree Lighting, and various other kid-directed events. That being said, we also have family and extended family that come to our house because we love to host and entertain when we all come together. The local schools are in demand, and there are several options throughout the community. We are close to many activities - farmer's markets, the zoo, sporting events, etc.

Our Family & Friends

Meg is the second of four children. She has an older brother, a younger brother, and a younger sister. Her mom was one of seven, and so she is one of 30 cousins. Great-Grandmother and Grandfather are also still around and excited to meet our additions to our family. Brian has one older brother, and two loving aunts and uncles. We have two nephews from Meg's side of the family, and a niece and nephew from Brian's side. We grew up on the same street, and are very lucky because our families have remained close and we celebrate holidays and special events together to this day.

What Led Us To Adoption

Growing up, Meg had told her parents that she wanted to adopt. It has always been a dream of hers and when we were married, Brian just added to that dream. We cannot wait to grow our family and continue to build a loving and caring home. Adoption is a blessing on both ends of the situation. We have supportive friends and family who are excited to meet new additions to our family, and we have all of the respect in the world for any mother who has had the courage to consider adoption for her child.
