Family Type: Traditional
State we live in: Ohio

dear expectant mother

We can’t imagine all you must be thinking and feeling. It takes an immense amount of strength, courage, and selflessness to make the best possible choice for you and your baby. Picturing the perfect family for your child and trying to find that perfect family from reading these bios must be extremely difficult. We hope when you read about us, you see two strong, driven people who have a lot of love and passion for life to share with a child. It means the world to us that you’ve taken the time to read about us, and we would be honored and humbled to be chosen as your child’s family.

We have lived a full and very blessed life. We have a wonderful support system in our families and friends, we have successful careers, and we have traveled the world. Certainly, none of us knows what the future holds. But we can promise to love your child unconditionally, provide them with an amazing support system, and ensure they have a life filled with love, diverse experiences, and two parents who will go to the ends of the earth to make sure they have the very best.

Please know we truly care about you. We know this is an emotional time, and we are thinking about you and praying for you. Should you decide we are the best family to raise your child, our hearts will forever be filled with gratitude.

We can promise to love your child unconditionally, provide them with an amazing support system, and ensure they have a life filled with love, diverse experiences, and two parents who will go to the ends of the earth to make sure they have the very best.

About Us

While we have been married since 2016, our friendship dates back to 2007. We spent many years playing softball and sand volleyball together, watching college football games, and enjoying each other’s company before ultimately deciding to date. The rest is history! Chris is an IT consultant; he works on websites for various companies. Britt is an attorney and enjoys helping people through perhaps their toughest times. Our relationship is based on faith and fun. Together, we are active in our local church, love watching sporting events and live music, enjoy the outdoors, and love to travel and see the world. Britt enjoys being active in the community and giving back and leads a pretty active lifestyle with running, cycling, and participating in various races and triathlons. Chris also enjoys cycling as well as cooking, sports, and teaching himself how to complete new home projects.

Our Home & Pets

We live in a diverse and welcoming community. We are walking distance to parks, the elementary school, and an ice cream shop. Our home sits on a one-acre wooded lot, and we have a fenced-in yard with plenty of room for kids to play. Our house has three bedrooms, a finished basement, and a bonus room we are converting into a playroom. We have two dogs, Nana (16) and Massy (14), who love to snuggle. We are also fostering Sasha through a local dog rescue while she waits for her forever home. We have been fosters for over six years now and have helped find homes for countless dogs. We also have a 14-year-old cat, Izzy, who bosses the dogs around.

Our Extended Family

Both of us come from relatively small families and were raised by loving parents. Chris’s parents have been married almost 50 years, and Britt’s parents have been married almost 40 years. Our parents raised us to be kind, compassionate people, and they continue to challenge us to be the best version of ourselves. Chris’s immediate family lives closest to us, so we see them most often. Chris has one brother, who is also married. Britt’s immediate family is about three hours away, but because Britt is an only child, we spend time with them often.

Both of us have family traditions we are excited to share. Britt’s parents have a pool and a beautiful three-acre property; they throw a weekend-long family reunion each year over July Fourth weekend. It’s wonderful spending the holiday weekend seeing all the extended family. Britt’s family also spends the day after Thanksgiving listening to Christmas music while decorating the house for the holidays. Chris’s family gets together throughout the year for activities like making and decorating cookies, game nights, and family cookouts. Each person in Chris’s family also gets their own birthday party each year.

What Led Us To Adoption

When we began having conversations about growing our family, the topic of adoption surfaced pretty quickly. We believe strongly that there are many ways to have a family. We have several family friends who have adopted, and we have seen what a blessing it’s been in their lives. We ultimately chose this path and truly believe it is best for our family. We have a lot of love to give to a child and are eager and blessed to have this opportunity.
