dear expectant mother

Dear Expectant Mother,

It’s good to “meet” you! We appreciate you taking the time to learn more about us. We can’t pretend to know what the emotional weight of this experience feels like for you, but we’re eager to share the load. In our eyes, this is a partnership—three people making a commitment to create an incredible life for your baby. We’d love to share that commitment with you.

We won’t claim to be perfect, but if you choose to connect with us, you may find we’re perfect for you and your baby. We are kind, loving, playful, and motivated humans who are purpose driven to live this life fully. And when it comes to your baby, “living fully” includes a promise to provide him or her with unending amounts of love, care, support, and listening as they grow. In that experience, we’ll make sure your baby is given the freedom and encouragement to explore their interests, develop their God-given talents, and remain curious in life as it unfolds.

This is our dream. If you give us this chance to live it, we will be forever grateful, and we’ll spend the rest of our lives proving we deserve it. Most importantly, just as we do with one another, we will choose your baby every single day. Thank you for taking this time to learn more about us. We appreciate you!

About Us

Eight years ago, two guys from the same part of the Midwest bumped into each other in Boston, MA—1,500 miles away from the place they both called “home.” Struck by coincidence, they decided to get a cup of coffee, which turned into dinner and then snowballed into one of those big loves that kept getting bigger. This was our beginning, and we’ve been together ever since! Now married and living back in the Midwest, Matthew is the president of a senior living community, and Cameron owns a marketing agency. We enjoy a shared silliness that makes life fun, and we choose each other every single day.

Our Home & Pets

We live in an incredible neighborhood with our two dogs, Ted and Murphy. Our home is a classic colonial style with four bedrooms, two-and-a-half baths, a screened-in patio, and a fenced-in yard. We also have a three-bedroom, two-bath lake house roughly two hours away from our full-time home. It serves as a great getaway for our friends and family during the summer months. Above all, the best thing about our house is the neighborhood we live in. We have an awesome crew of neighbors, all with kiddos of their own, and we enjoy spending time with them as often as we can!

Our Extended Family

We moved back to the Midwest to be near family, and it has been the best decision we’ve ever made. Matthew’s family lives roughly 45 minutes from us, including six siblings and seven nieces and nephews. Cameron’s family is a bit closer, with two siblings who live nearby, two nieces, and extended family throughout the Midwest (and one brother in Florida). Let’s just say that holidays and birthdays are jam-packed with a lot of love and excitement!

What Led Us To Adoption

We’ve put in a lot of work to create our version of “wonderful” in life, and we’ve done it with the hope that someday we’ll have a kiddo of our own. Adoption can make this hope a reality! It’s a chance to participate in the experience of being parents and our chance to give a child all the love, care, attention, choice, and joy needed so they can flourish in life. We can’t wait for this opportunity!
