About Us

Fate brought our two souls together during a charity auction seven years ago. Diane had just returned from briefly living in London, and Caroline was just coming out of a previous relationship. A friendship quickly developed as we shared many outdoor activities, like bike riding and picnicking in the park, with mutual friends. A commitment to our relationship carried our journey to relocating from Georgia to Florida to be closer to the beaches with Caroline’s job. As a neurophysiologist, Caroline is dedicated to helping patients during surgery. Diane works as a merchandiser for a big box store. During a beautiful sunrise on the beach in the presence of Caroline's parents, Diane got down on one knee and made a commitment of love to Caroline. The pandemic changed the course of events for a big ceremony and tailored it down to a small commitment ceremony. Nonetheless, we are forever united.

Our Home & Pets

We live in a gated subdivision in Florida, just a short drive to the beach and about two hours from Disney World. Our three-bedroom, three-bathroom home sits on a preserve with wildlife at our doorstep. Each spring we have a family of ducks and geese that greet us for feeding. We face a beautiful pond with trails for walking and biking. We are close to a renowned zoo and museums, and we are annual pass holders to Disney World! We have two amazing dogs, Marley and Luna. Marley, seven, is a Boston terrier/Chihuahua mix we rescued in Atlanta. Luna, four, is a Boston terrier. They are the best sisters and do everything together while always making us laugh.

Our Extended Family

We have family members near and far. Caroline’s parents live two blocks away and visit every other day. We take bike rides and walk the beach frequently. Caroline has one sister who lives in California, and she and her wife have a beautiful four-year-old girl. We visit every other year and FaceTime frequently. Caroline has three cousins living across the nation with frequent meetups. Diane’s mother and brother live two hours away, and we visit every month. Diane's niece has two children, with another one on the way.

We are both very close with our families and make sure we include them on all occasions. Both families know about our adoption journey and are excited and supportive and can’t wait to meet their newest family member! We love to entertain with friends and family, and everyone knows Diane is an amazing cook. Her recipes journey us around the world, and the air is always filled with laughter. We have traveled to many places together and enjoy getting to know other cultures. We can promise your child the world with lots of love, nurture, guidance, and God.

What Led Us To Adoption

We began our journey of adoption back in 2019. We completed our PRIDE classes through the state of Florida in 2020 and decided to choose Lifelong Adoptions as we embraced their values within the LGBT community. We are excited about expanding our family with the selfless help of an expectant mother.
