State We live in: Ohio

dear expectant mother

You must be feeling a lot of different emotions as you try to make the best decisions for you and your baby. We look forward to the possibility of connecting with you and sharing in this journey. We want the best for you and your baby, and we are grateful you have taken the time to get to know a little about us. Whatever challenges you may be facing, our family is a loving, ready option for you and your child.

We dream of having another kid to share games, bedtime stories, and silly songs with Carissa and us. We will love your child completely, and we will always cherish you and your love for them as well. While we cannot truly know your experience, we fully relate to the love of another human being and wanting the best for those you love. We wish you the best and are here for you in whatever capacity you need, whether that is an open adoption or closed. We want you to find peace in the process and to know that we will always feel a special connection and unspeakable gratitude toward you. We will raise our child knowing we'll never replace your love but expand upon it in the most authentic way we can.

We want you to find peace in the process and to know that we will always feel a special connection and unspeakable gratitude toward you.

About Us

We're active people who are always up for making new friends and sharing laughs. We both love to run, explore the outdoors, go to new places, and make new foods. Our daughter, Carissa, loves to play with us and all of her cousins who live nearby. Lizzy loves animals and currently has a handsome cat, Winky. She dreams of getting goats and ponies. Chris loves to play music and speak Spanish, which Lizzy has been learning. Both of us are teachers: Lizzy is an elementary physical education teacher and also works as a physician assistant, while Chris is a high school Spanish teacher. We like to travel in the summer and explore new places together. We both really value time spent with our families and look forward to growing our own family!

Our Home & Neighborhood

We live in a diverse, family-friendly town with tons of parks, children's museums, and other places to play and learn. Our welcoming home has a recent addition for more room to play. Though we've added indoor space, much of the fun is outside, where we have several acres, garden beds, a playset, a music studio in the barn, and a path through the field that leads to Lizzy's parents' house next door. Because we both teach, Lizzy's parents watch our daughter, Carissa, during the day. They also watch two of Carissa's cousins, and plan to help with future grandchildren, too. Our close-knit families are always happy to help each other out. We have a cat, Winky, whom Carissa loves to play with and follow around.

Our Family & Friends

We cherish memories we made with grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins as we grew up. We're lucky to have Lizzy's parents, Chris's twin, and Lizzy's sister and their families all nearby. Though other siblings live in California, Alabama, and Virginia, we're happy to host them or to visit when we can. We also enjoy hosting our nieces for Cousin Camp every few months.

We love to travel to see family and friends or to visit cool state and national parks to hike and run. We also love to play music and games together. One of our favorite activities is gathering for holidays, including trick-or-treating, celebrating Christmas and Hanukkah with Lizzy's family, and our famous New Year's Olympics, when we spend hours playing games with Chris's extended family.

Our Adoption Story

We want you to know adoption is our first choice, not a last resort. In 2024, we were fortunate to adopt our first child, Carissa, and the three of us love each other so much! We've been called to adopt since before we ever met, and could not imagine our lives without Carissa! She loves spending time with other kids and will be a loving big sister. We have been planning for this for years by helping to take care of our nieces for extended periods of time and moving to a beautiful, family-friendly home with lots of space for our kids to be kids and spend time with their cousins and family!
