dear expectant mother

Dear Expectant Mother,

Though we haven't met, I think about you often. I can't fully imagine the complexity of what you're facing, but I deeply respect your strength, your love for your child, and the care you're taking to consider such a profound decision. I hope, wherever you are in this journey, you feel seen, supported, and never alone in this process.

I've wanted to be a father for as long as I can remember. Today, I'm in a place where I can offer a child an incredible life—one that's safe, nurturing, and full of joy and opportunity. I live on a horse property in Central Oregon, where life is calm, grounded, and deeply connected to nature. But I also come from the south of France and have been shaped by a life rich in travel, culture, and curiosity. It's this balance I hope to give a child: the security of home and community, with the freedom to explore the world and grow into whoever they are meant to be.

Thank you for even considering me. If we embark on this journey together, please know that your child will be cherished, guided, and given every chance to thrive. It would be the greatest honor of my life to raise a child who always knows where they came from, and how deeply they were loved from the very beginning.

With all my heart,
Christophe

About Me

I grew up in the South of France with a French dad and an Italian mom, so my childhood was all about the joy of great food, beautiful aesthetics, family gatherings, and the importance of surrounding yourself with people you love. It wasn't necessarily fancy, but just homey and full of love. We spent hours around the table or simply talking together, and I think that's where I learned how important it is to slow down and really connect with the people around you.

That sense of togetherness is something I carry with me today, and where I live is a perfect fit for that. I still love cooking for friends, filling the house with music, and keeping that feeling of warmth alive. I've always been curious about the world—whether it's a nearby trail or a trip across the ocean—and I look forward to sharing that spirit with a child someday.

My Home & Neighborhood

Connection to nature is essential to me, which is why I chose to build a life on my own five-acre horse property just outside of town. It's peaceful and grounded—surrounded by trees, animals, and wide-open sky—yet still close to everything we need. I have great neighbors, including a young family next door, and we often get together for horseback rides, fire-pit evenings, or community events.

We live in a growing, family-friendly town filled with festivals, concerts, and a strong sense of community. Nearby areas offer even more ways to enjoy the outdoors. From summers by the river to snowy winter days, it’s a beautiful, joyful way of life I look forward to sharing with a child.

My Family & Friends

I'm lucky to be surrounded by an incredible support system, both near and far. While my immediate family—my parents, cousins, aunts, and uncles—live in France, we are a close-knit bunch and make it a point to see each other often. My parents, whom I'm very close to, visit the U.S. regularly and are beyond excited to be involved in their future grandchild's life.

Here in Oregon, I've built a strong community of longtime friends, many of whom have young children of their own—from newborns to toddlers. We gather often to celebrate birthdays, holidays, and spontaneous adventures, usually with kids in tow. We've taken road trips, gone camping, and shared many weekends filled with laughter and connection. I've proudly taken on the role of "Uncle Christophe"—part babysitter, part partner-in-crime.

My friends have known about my path to adoption from the start and have shown nothing but love and encouragement. For years, they've told me I'd make a wonderful father—and I'm ready to make that a reality.

What My Friends & Family Love About Me

In the words of my friend Caitlin: "I've known Christophe for almost a decade, and from the very beginning, it was clear: this man is meant to be a dad. He's one of those rare people who's not just thoughtful and grounded, but also full of heart, curiosity, and joy. With roots in both France and the U.S., he brings such a rich, open-minded perspective to life—and he's built something really special in Central Oregon: a home full of love, laughter, and the best dinner parties you'll ever attend.

What I love most about Christophe is how deeply he shows up for the people in his life. He's generous with his time, a great listener, and always the first to offer help or a warm hug. Any child raised by him will have a life full of love, adventure, and support. He's more than ready for fatherhood—and I can't wait to see him in that role."
