dear expectant mother

Dear Expectant Mother,

Thank you for taking the time to read this profile. We understand that choosing a family for your child is one of the most important decisions you'll ever make. We will provide the love and commitment required to raise a child, and we hope you will consider us for your baby.
We believe that the adversity we have overcome has helped prepare us for the responsibility of raising a child. We waited until we knew our relationship was mature, and that professionally, we would be able to offer a child all of the support and resources needed to give them the best life possible.

Finally, we understand that considering your options and an adoption plan is difficult. That is why we chose an open adoption, if you’re comfortable with it. We want you to get to know us so you will feel confident we are the perfect couple to undertake this endeavor. We are both extremely caring, and our family-oriented lifestyle would make a great fit for any mother wanting the best for her child. Get to know us, and we think you will agree!

Sincerely,
Chris and John

About Us

We are a fun-loving married couple looking to take the next step with our family. We met in Texas but later moved to Louisiana. John is a principal at a large high school, and Chris is a manager at a nationally known communications store. We have shared interests in cooking, biking, and travel. We have both overcome a lot of adversity, and as a result, we are both driven to succeed. We both have stable jobs, and we are at a place in life where we can provide for a growing family. We both love children, and we will be loving fathers.

Our Home & Pets

We live in a lovely two-story home in a new housing development in Louisiana. The neighborhood is wonderful, and the residents are all working professionals with young families. Our town in Louisiana has everything a family might be looking for: great restaurants, shopping, and an amazing school district with over forty magnet programs. School choice is embraced, and our future child will have nearly unlimited options for a tailored, theme-based education. Our high school is widely recognized as the best high school in Louisiana, and it has the highest number of AP scholars in the state.

Our Extended Family

We both have very loving, supportive extended families. John’s mother recently moved to our city, and she is looking forward to becoming a grandmother. She has volunteered to help support us when daycare is needed. Chris’s mother lives in Texas, and she, too, is excited about becoming a grandmother. We are both lucky to have mothers who, despite limited resources, made sure we had everything we needed growing up. Chris also has a large extended family, most of whom reside in Texas. John has a smaller family, but he is close to his aunts, uncles, and cousins. We both have older brothers whom we remain in close contact with at all times.

What Led Us To Adoption

Shortly after we married, we both expressed a desire to raise a child. We explored several options but agreed adoption was the best option for us. John works to improve outcomes for children on a daily basis as a high school principal, and Chris is a godfather to his nephew. Both of us love children, and we want to create a family that is loving, supportive, and stable. We both have very good jobs, a lot of stability in our work lives, and the time and resources to bring a child into our home.
