Family Type: Gay Couple

dear expectant mother

We understand you are facing this difficult decision of considering an adoption plan. We deeply respect you while you consider what the best option is for you and your little one. There is no way to fully say how thankful we are that you would consider us to raise this child. Choosing us would be the biggest blessing and honor. We want nothing more than to be parents.

One of the great things about adoption is that we can build and maintain a relationship for years to come if that’s something you’re interested in. As a couple, we have always cared strongly for our friendships and families because that is at the core of our own values. We are excited to develop that bond with you too, should you want that.

It has been a dream of ours to become parents one day, and we feel so blessed we might be able to achieve that dream through adoption. We are committed to providing a loving home that will nurture a child with as many opportunities as possible. We have spent the last eleven years building and strengthening our relationship, so we are confident we will be able to supply an upbringing that is abundant in love, fun, and happiness as well positive values and experiences.

Choosing us would be the biggest blessing and honor. We want nothing more than to be parents.

About Us

We met at a party in college. Connor was visiting his best friend, who happened to be a close friend of Alex. We really clicked a month later on a river trip with friends. Alex loves being the DJ for everyone and has excellent taste in music. Connor enjoys playing host and throwing any event. As a couple, one of our favorite things to do together is travel. We love exploring different parts of the world or just going on fun weekend trips with our friends and their children. Alex is an accountant and Connor is an interior designer, so our jobs allow us quite a bit of flexibility for family and friends. One of our preferred pastimes is getting outside and enjoying all our city has to offer, from the annual Italian festival to weekend farmers markets. We are just happy to explore.

Our Home & Pets

We live in a three-bedroom, two-bathroom, ranch-style home where the nursery will be just down the hall from our bedroom. One of the things that drew us to our current house was that it has an excellent elementary school nearby, which recently got remodeled. We love our neighborhood, which is nestled in the city. There are lots of kids on our block, and we have a community farmers market down the street. We have amazing museums, parks, and an awesome annual rodeo here. We also have a dog, Rusty, who loves people. He is obsessed with our niece and is so good with kids. Rusty is a silky terrier and is 14 pounds of laziness.

Our Extended Family

We both come from very large extended families with lots of cousins. Alex has two sisters and a brother, all of whom have children. They spend lots of weekends at Alex’s parents’ home, talking and hanging out. They have lots of strong Mexican traditions we would love to incorporate into a child’s life. Alex has several family members who live in Mexico City, and we make it a point to see each other at least once a year. For Easter, Alex’s sister throws a huge bash that culminates in a massive egg hunt for all the kids.

Connor has two sisters and a young niece we try to see often. Connor’s family spends lots of weekends at his parents’ lake house, where we swim off the dock or go hiking on one of the many trails. The lake house has stables with horses and lots of games for all ages. Everybody in the family also loves a good golf cart ride around the lake. Connor is very close with his grandmother, and she has been so supportive of the adoption process. Our families are very close with one another too; even our sisters are good friends.

What Led Us To Adoption

When we first started dating, we both agreed we wanted children one day. We both came from large extended families and loved how tight knit everyone was. As we got older and married, we looked into the different avenues that could make us parents. Ultimately, adoption always felt right to us. Connor has a close friend who was adopted, and she had a positive experience. While she did not know her birth mother till she was an adult, they have formed a relationship we deeply admire. We are so thrilled to take this amazing journey together and become parents.
