Family Type: Gay Couple
State we live in: Washington

dear expectant mother

We cannot fathom how hard it is to consider an adoption plan, and we are grateful you would consider giving us such a loving and selfless gift. Our promise to you is that we will do all we can to prove ourselves worthy of being parents to your child.

We have talked for years about the types of parents we want to be and the experiences we want to share with our child. Connor loves sports and history, and he cannot wait to take our child to their first game and to tell them about the past while encouraging their future. Julian’s passion is music, and he can’t wait to sit at the piano with them, helping them find middle C and teaching them how to make sound into something beautiful as they make both music and memories together.

Most importantly, we want to share the values that are most important to us: trust, honesty, determination, and openness. We want our child to be free to express themselves, ask questions, seek answers, and know who they really are. We try our best to live those values every day.

From the bottom of our hearts, we want you to know how much we admire your courage and strength. We promise to raise your child, if you choose us, with unconditional love and kindness, and their happiness and success will always be our first priority in everything we do.

About Us

We are Connor and Julian. We have been together for eight years and have been happily married since 2018. When Connor isn’t working as a marketing consultant and Julian as a product manager for a large tech company, we enjoy cooking, traveling, going for walks, trying new restaurants, and being with our family and friends. But we are probably happiest together on our couch, sitting under a blanket, listening to music or watching our favorite shows. While it is the simple things that often make us the happiest, we always challenge one another to be our best. We believe in each other and do our best to support one another’s dreams. We look forward to doing the same for our baby—to love them unconditionally, to give them the support they need to be the best version of themselves, and to make sure they always have a spot on the couch between us.

Our Home & Pets

We live in a spacious three-bedroom townhouse in a vibrant and safe neighborhood in the Pacific Northwest. Our home is decorated with everything we love most, from our big couch and blankets to Julian’s keyboard, Connor’s family heirlooms, and all the fridge magnets we’ve picked up during our travels. Our neighborhood is full of parks to play in, including one that is steps from our front door, lots of walkable spaces, and also has a great farmers market. Our home has lots of room for our child to stretch out and play, both indoors and out, and it is a perfect place to host holidays, playdates, and sleepovers. No matter where we call home, we will always fill it with the things that make us happy. We both love animals, and had our biggest love, our chihuahua Maisy, for over 17 years before recently losing her. We think pets make a family even better, and we want our child to grow up knowing that bond.

Our Extended Family

Our families are so excited we are on this journey together. Connor is very close with his mother, who is generous and full of laughter, and she cannot wait for another grandchild. Connor also has an older sister, brother-in-law, and 11 year old nephew, along with his aunts, uncles, and cousins. Together, they make a big loving family who will always be a source of support and love for our baby.

Julian is very close with both of his parents. His mom, an Italian immigrant, is warm and fun-loving (not to mention an amazing cook), while his dad is sensitive and soft-spoken. Both are wonderful grandparents to Julian’s niece and nephew (8 and 6), who live outside Rome, Italy, with Julian’s older sister and her husband. Both parents are excited for a new baby, and Julian can’t wait to introduce him or her to the rest of the family!

We also get together with extended family at Connor’s annual family reunion. It was started almost 90 years ago by his great-great-grandmother, and Connor has gone nearly every year of his life. Bringing Julian the first time was one of Connor’s happiest moments.

What Led Us To Adoption

We knew early on that adoption was how we wanted to grow our family and that it would make our dreams come true to be able to see our baby grow from tiny hands and bottles to first days of school and beyond. We also know our baby will know love from their very first moment of life—the love from their mother, who is giving this wonderful gift to their two dads. Our hope is that we can offer you, if you choose us, the peace of mind of knowing your trust is well placed and your child will be loved, supported, and encouraged unconditionally.
