About Us

We met three and a half years ago and have been together ever since. Cory was in graduate school, finishing his degree as a physician assistant, and Bryce was working as a store manager for Starbucks. We had a very adventurous first few years, including traveling to Europe, getting married, and buying our first home. We both love to travel and to explore new places and cultures. We both enjoy cooking and hosting gatherings with our family and friends. We also have a dog with lots of energy, so we try to stay active and enjoy lots of outdoor activities. Over the last year, we have settled into our careers and focused on making our house a home. Now we are hoping to add a child to our family and to one day be able to share these adventures with them.

Our Home & Pets

Our home is in a beautiful, family-oriented neighborhood in an award-winning school district. We are on the end of a cul-de-sac, our street is filled with many other families with small children, and our neighborhood offers many walking trails, parks, and playgrounds. We also have one dog, Jax. He is a six-year-old Siberian husky. He is very high energy and needs lots of exercise, but he is also a gentle soul and is great with kids. He is the biggest protector of our nephew when we have sleepovers. Jax is always following him around, making sure he is okay and hoping Callen will drop a snack for him. Jax sleeps with us every night, but when Callen is here, he typically sleeps beside his crib, ready to be the first one to greet Cal when he wakes up.

Our Extended Family

Cory grew up in a very rural area, and his parents now own a berry farm. He has one younger brother. He was very close to his grandparents growing up and had many cousins who are also best friends. They always had large gatherings for holidays, and his mom hosted them all. Having such a close family played a big role in his childhood; he hopes to be able to give the same experience to our children.

Bryce grew up in a large family with more cousins than he can count and as one of four siblings with two older sisters and one younger brother. They often hosted parties where everyone was welcome, and he hopes to be able to do the same for our family one day as well as show off some culinary skills.

We love hosting holidays at our home. Our family is so big that often we have to eat in shifts or plan two dinners. We are so fortunate to have our extended families close by. They support us in this journey and will be a phone call away whenever we need help.

What Led Us To Adoption

Family is very important to both of us, and we always knew one day we wanted to have a family of our own. We have a nephew who is almost two years old, and he has been a big part of our lives since he came into this world. He has made us want to be fathers even more, and we feel so blessed to have watched him grow. We hope to be able to give him a cousin soon as he is anxiously awaiting playmates. We chose infant adoption as we want to be there from the very beginning to be part of every milestone in our child's life.
