dear expectant mother

We are so thankful for your consideration and taking the time to read little snippets about us. We want you to know we will support you every step of the way during the biggest decision we all will make. If your heart is telling you to choose us, know that your baby will have a huge family full of love. We have many supportive friends anxious to see our family grow. We are excited to celebrate things big and small and to go through this crazy thing called life with your baby. We will be overjoyed to open our hearts and home to your beautiful bundle of joy.

We promise to teach your baby how to bake Christmas cookies, love reading, do science experiments, sing silly songs, create, ride a bike, grow a garden, change their oil, show kindness to all, and love like crazy. We will be supportive of the interests they have, whether that is ballet, karate, music, or sports.

We cannot begin to imagine the roller coaster of emotions you are going through. We would love to get to know you so we can share the amazing strength you have with your child someday, if you desire. We look forward to the opportunity to take this journey with you.

About Us

Our story started with Dylan wiping off a wet golf cart seat for Courtney. After that, we stayed in touch but didn’t begin dating until college. We went to rival colleges, but Courtney compromised to teach where Dylan was living. Since then, we have put down roots in our community. We love spending our time outdoors. Swimming, bonfires, biking, and walking are some of our favorites. Courtney is a kindergarten teacher at a small school a few miles from where we live. She spends her days teaching and caring for around twenty 5- and 6-year-olds. Dylan is a sales representative for a large company in our city. He uses his people skills to help many people during the day.

Our Home & Pets

Our home is located within walking distance to schools, parks, and restaurants. Our favorite thing about our home is the backyard. We spend our free time enjoying the flowers, bonfires, and snowmen. During the summer we like to garden. In the winter we like to cozy up on our couch with our cats Waffle and Pancake. We are also avid puzzle and board game players. We are most excited to have our child experience the ice cream truck coming right to our backyard. We love finding restaurants to eat at outside, going to the farmers market, pumpkin patches, and looking at Christmas lights.

Our Extended Family

Dylan grew up with his parents and two older sisters. His dad owns his own business where Dylan worked throughout high school. Dylan was active in Boy Scouts and hopes to volunteer again. Dylan’s family loves to spend time on the pontoon stopping along sandbars in the summer.

Courtney grew up with her parents and one older brother on their family farm. Growing up, Courtney was active in 4-H and many church groups. Courtney loves to share her love of music, especially playing guitar. We enjoy spending time at the family farm and helping with the cattle.

We are both lucky to have supportive families and parents who are excited to become grandparents again. Growing up, we both had similar family traditions, especially around holidays. These have become special to us and something we want to continue. Christmas Eve is spent with Courtney’s extended family going to a church service, enjoying hor d’oeuvres, and opening presents. Christmas Day is spent with Dylan’s extended family. We open presents, enjoy Christmas treats, and play card games. Some of our new family traditions include Christmas lights with hot cocoa, new Christmas pajamas yearly, donuts for breakfast on birthdays, and Wednesday night pizza.

What Led Us To Adoption

Our adoption journey began in a unique way. Courtney has a manageable underlying health condition that is very hereditary. Courtney decided at a young age that adoption would be her path to becoming a mom. Very early on in our relationship, adoption was part of the conversation. Dylan was understanding and excited to take this journey to become a dad. We knew adoption would be a great fit for us. We love our nieces and nephews and cannot wait to grow our own family.
