We are grateful for your time in considering us as potential parents for the baby you are bringing into this world. One thing that sets us apart as prospective parents is that we both have the privilege of working from home, so we can share the responsibilities of raising a child. Curtis works from home most of the time, and Rodolfo is an artist who works from home too.
We are fortunate to have the means to travel so that any child we are blessed to parent will have the experience of having relationships with cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandparents as well as with family friends. Further, our future child will be exposed to culture, especially art, as it is important to us both. We believe one of the most important parts of raising a child is opening the child’s mind up to the realities that exist in this world but also the endless possibilities they have to be a part of it.
We hope we offer what you are looking for in prospective adoptive parents, but if not, that’s okay. In our view, whatever decision you make will be the right decision.

We are a loving and responsible couple who believe we can live our best life and achieve our goals. Curtis is an attorney, and Rodolfo is an artist and photographer. We met in Barcelona. Curtis was studying abroad for a month in law school, and Rodolfo lived there. We quickly realized we wanted the same things out of life and started on a journey to make those dreams come true. We married in Mexico City, but we both had something to take care of before we could live together. Curtis had to finish law school and begin that new career, and Rodolfo had to finish the process of obtaining his Spanish citizenship. Because we texted every morning and night, it didn’t feel like we were apart at all. Eventually Rodolfo got his green card and moved full-time to the U.S., and recently we bought our first home together. Our hobbies include bicycling, hiking, traveling, museums, gardening, visiting family and friends, and watching TV and movies.
We both love animals, but we do not have pets because Rodolfo has allergies. However, we enjoy nature a lot! We are fortunate to have a home with five acres, so there are many critters, including rabbits, lizards, and falcons. Also, we have bird feeders and hummingbird feeders. While our home is on a hillside, most of the yard is landscaped with a variety of flowers and fruit trees.
We both came from large families. Rodolfo’s parents still live in a little town in Mexico. Rodolfo enjoys cooking for everybody, always. His mother taught him, and he’s a pro. Curtis’s mother and stepfather live in a little town in Indiana. Curtis has three sisters who live in Washington, Indiana, and Kentucky. Rodolfo has three brothers and two sisters who mostly live in Michoacan, Mexico, with one brother in Kansas. We have nieces and nephews in Indiana, Kansas, and Michoacan. We have great friends here in California but also in Indiana, Kentucky, Barcelona, Guadalajara, and Mexico City.
When we were first getting to know each other seven years ago, we discovered we were both on the same page with wanting to adopt. We both came from large families and have enjoyed being uncles over the years. Now we have our ducks in a row, and we feel it is time we have the experience of parenting ourselves.
