About Us

We met in college in 2012, and it was clear from the start that we were meant to be. Since then, we’ve shared a life filled with adventure and growth. From our dream wedding in 2017 to adopting our first son, Karson, we’ve built a joyful life full of love and support. Randy is a passionate Chief Operating Officer (principal) at a STEM school and an active volunteer and board member in our local theater, while Dalton teaches design and preservation and revitalizes our city through his work with the Historic Preservation Society. Weekends are for exploring and spending time with family and friends. Whether discovering new places or enjoying the beauty of our town, we’re always together making memories.

Our Home & Pets

When we first explored our home, we fell in love with its charm and history. Built in 1936, this colonial-style gem features a covered porch and sits on a quiet corner lot surrounded by beautiful, ever-changing nature. We purchased it to grow our family, and it’s been a joy watching our son make memories—whether soaring on the swing, riding his scooter, or biking down the sidewalk. As the third owners of this historic home, we’re proud to preserve its legacy. Our cozy fireplaces and breakfast nook are perfect for family time, and our home wouldn’t be complete without our furry family members: Piper, our rescue dog; Chance, our Aussiedoodle; and Paige, our cat. We’re excited for a little one to join our pack.

Our Extended Family

Family, including our chosen family, is the center of our world. We’re both fortunate to come from loving families, and Karson is already surrounded by a big, close-knit group of grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. With 21 cousins, all constantly cycling between play dates, dinners, and family gatherings, the children in our family are building beautiful, lifelong bonds.

Our family is always inventing new traditions that bring us closer together, from attending parades and festivals to hosting Halloween parties and baking homemade Christmas cookies, we’re always finding ways to make memories. These moments are always filled with togetherness, and we can't wait for your child to be part of these memories with us.

We are so grateful to share this community of love and support with your child. They will grow up surrounded by warmth, joy, and endless opportunities to create new memories while being a part of a family that values connection, tradition, and togetherness.

Our Adoption Story

Adoption has always been the path to the family we dreamed of. Welcoming Karson in 2019 was life-changing and reaffirmed this belief. With full hearts, we know another child is meant to join us to receive the love and support that define our home. Karson, 5 ½, is excited to be a big brother. He talks about sharing toys, teaching tricks, and playing with a sibling. His wish is to have a brother or sister to swing, bike, dance, and share extra bedtime stories with. We can’t wait to continue this journey and welcome another child into our hearts and home.
