dear expectant mother

Dear Expectant Mother,

We are eternally grateful you are taking the time to get to know us. We have both shared a lifelong dream of starting a family. We are so excited to become dads and can’t wait for our dreams to finally come true. We’re aware that the most exciting time for us could be the most challenging for you. We will never be able to fully understand all of the sacrifices you are making for your baby. You are incredibly brave and strong and even though we don’t know you, you are already loved by us and our entire family.

We promise, should you bless us by making us parents, your child will always know the story of their loving brith mom and just how special he or she will always be to you. We promise to love, nurture, and be there for your baby every single day for the rest of our lives. He or she will truly be the center of our universe and we guarantee your baby will feel unconditional love not only from us but from all of our friends and family.

They will be showered with every opportunity we can offer from music lessons, sports, or whatever their heart desires. Our goal is to provide the best education available so as they grow they can be whatever they dream to become in this world. At the end of the day that is all any parent wants is for their child’s dreams to come true and for them to be happy, healthy, and loved throughout their entire life.

We are so excited to become dads and can’t wait for our dreams to finally come true!

About Us

We are your typical mushy, rom-com-loving couple. Daniel was born and raised in Louisiana. He is a small business owner of multiple clothing boutiques throughout Louisiana and Texas. Trevor was born and raised in Texas. He owns and operates an international men’s jewelry brand. We first came together and bonded over our mutual passion for being entrepreneurs. What started out as a cup of coffee led us to being inseparable and falling head over heels. Daniel is super energetic and outgoing and never meets a stranger. He has a big love for festivals, tacos, roller coasters, and all things Disney. Trevor is more laid back and easygoing. He has an eye for technology, he enjoys fitness, and you will definitely never find him on a rollercoaster. On a typical week night, you can find us cooking Pinterest recipes, Netflixing our favorite movies, or hosting game night with our close friends.

Our Home & Pets

For us, home is Louisiana. We live in a historic neighborhood with tons of character and your typical Southern charm. We have a recently remodeled, two-story, olive green home with a guest house, a new pool, and beautiful gardens. We are within walking distance to local restaurants, top-tier schools, and parks known for hosting several festivals yearly, including our favorite crawfish festival. You can usually find us grilling in the backyard while watching Disney movies on our outdoor projector alongside our loving Jack Russell, Bosley; our teacup Yorkie, Piper; and our cat, Crew. Louisiana’s culture is so special and unique. We can’t wait to share these timeless traditions with a child.

Our Extended Family

When it comes to family, we both definitely lucked out. With both of our families being just over an hour-drive away, family dinners, birthday parties, and game nights are a typical evening in our home. We are fortunate to have all of our parents still with us, and they all have active, daily roles in our lives. One common thing that both of our moms share is their unconditional love of being grandmothers. Daniel has a sister with a daughter and son. Trevor has a brother with a daughter and two sons.

We host all holidays and birthdays in our home. Some of our favorites include our annual friends and family Halloween costume party, where our house becomes the ultimate trick-or-treat destination. On November 1 our home transforms into a winter wonderland with every room having their own holiday theme, from gingerbread village to farmhouse Christmas. Throughout December, you’ll find Mom baking old family recipes while listening to Christmas hits. At the beginning of each year, Mardi Gras season takes off in Louisiana. Our weeks are filled with gumbo cookoffs, crawfish bowls, and king cake contests.

What Led Us To Adoption

From the moment we met, we spent endless nights talking about how long we’ve wanted to become parents. With both of us being raised in large, close-knit families, we know firsthand how important it is for children to experience the love a family has to offer. We want to be there every step of the way, from the first word and the first school project all the way to being those annoying parents in the front row of their wedding crying our eyes out. We’ve seen the positive impacts from adoption with several of our close friends, and we’re 100% confident adoption is the route for us. We are excited to be able to share all of our blessings and to make a child the center of our world.
