dear expectant mother

We thank you for taking the time to read our profile and considering us as adoptive parents. We know your decision is full of challenges and emotions. Please know we will give your child every opportunity for a life filled with love should you choose us.

We want your child to experience established family traditions such as making dumplings for Chinese New Year, watching classic Christmas TV shows during the holidays, traveling to China, or enjoying a weekend getaway to the beach. We look forward to new traditions, such as nightly bedtime stories, summer trips with cousins, trick-or-treating with neighborhood kids, cooking breakfast on the weekends, and trips to our favorite public gardens. We will raise your child with values of hard work, education, empathy, kindness, humor, and humility. We will always be by your child’s side to cheer them on when they need encouragement, to guide them through life’s journeys, and to embrace them with love.

Again, thank you for reading our profile. We are confident we will be gre

Adoption will fulfill our desire to be parents, and we have the full support of our friends and family. We are so excited to be on this journey!

About Us

Danni is a mechanical engineer and works for an international power tool company. Matthew is a dentist and has worked for the Veteran Administration for the last 13 years. In our spare time, Matthew can be found exercising in his home gym, reading, cooking, relaxing in front of the TV, or playing Scrabble with his sister when she visits. Danni will be wrapped up with the most recent Korean TV drama or a good book, or she’ll be napping with our beloved bulldog, Hambone. We like to travel, whether it’s a weekend trip to a nearby city or a longer trip overseas. Food is a cornerstone of our relationship. We cook at home, host BBQs, and try new cuisine at restaurants. We love food and the magic ability it has to bring people together.

Our Home & Pets

Our home is a rancher with four bedrooms and three bathrooms that is situated in a suburban neighborhood with a large backyard surrounded by trees. Our neighborhood is filled with young families, and in the summer months, the streets are decorated with chalk drawings and lemonade stands while the fall brings out the holiday decor. We have a stubborn but lovable bulldog, Hambone, who is the mascot of our street. Hambone has stolen the hearts of all the neighborhood kids and has earned the nickname “Statue Dog” for his tendency to sit on our front step and hardly move.

Our Extended Family

Danni was born in China and came to the United States at the age of 15 with her mother. Danni’s parents divorced when she and her fraternal twin sister were two years old. It was Danni’s mother’s marriage to a Hungarian-American that brought them to America, and Danni’s twin sister joined them in America one year later. Danni’s extended family has four older step-siblings, all with their own families. The love and support she received from her stepfamily truly showed her that family is defined by more than blood. She is forever grateful for her stepfather’s unconditional love and wants to be able to do the same for her own family.

We make it a priority to visit both families whenever in the Midwest. Our last visit to China was in 2018 for Chinese New Year. It was the first time in over 20 years Danni was able to share this holiday with her Chinese relatives. Matthew is the youngest of three, with one older sister living 45 miles away and a brother situated on the West Coast. Thanksgiving is Matthew’s favorite holiday. He insists on hosting and cooking. There’s always an open invitation for friends and family to attend.

What Led Us To Adoption

We tried starting a family a few years ago but realized something was not right. Fertility specialists diagnosed us with “infertility of unknown origin,” and we pursued in vitro fertilization. We gave it our best shot on two separate occasions but were not able to carry an embryo beyond a few days. Adoption will fulfill our desire to be parents, and we have the full support of our friends and family. We are so excited to be on this journey!
